    Interesting follow-up to the Curtis story, turns out I have a dear friend, a veteran screenwriter, to whom the *exact* same thing was done by the same team, down to the same other people being involved. I shouldn’t be surprised but make no mistake, it’s standard practice.

    So basically Rich Curtis takes a terrific story, fully scripted, buys out the main credit so it seems like he wrote it (still using loads of juicy ideas from the original) and turns it from thoughtful gold into a poopy romcom. The creative working life in a nutsack.

    The original script for the film “Yesterday” sounds a lot more interesting than the one that was made. This is a sad but unsurprising read: HT

    Our deceptively simple bassist Simon is releasing a solo album today on Bandcamp! Available to stream and download, recorded last year mostly in the early morning hours, the tracks were an experiment in instinct and that all elusive 'feel'.

    Joe Rogan’s Spotify deal is fascinating. No music artist in the world (in history even) could get that deal. Should cause real reflection for musicians who (1) use Spotify for little reward (2) perhaps don’t like Joe’s opinions. Spotify just bought him with their earnings.
