Government announces testing for residents and staff in all care homes in England

Health Secretary Matt Hancock held a press briefing on Friday to announce that all residents and members of staff in care homes will be tested for coronavirus "between now and early June." Hancock also said that two thirds of care homes haven’t had an outbreak. This comes on the same day the ONS released a report that found 27.3% of all deaths of care home residents in England and Wales involved COVID-19 between March 2 and May 1.
