    ISIS sleeper cells have been more active than usual in the past month in Hasekah, the region housing the detention facility where last night's uprising took place. ISIS recently announced the capture and decapitation of two SDF members in Tuwaymin, south Hasekah.

    A decapitated corpse has been dumped in the street in Afrin city center. Local sources tell the victim is Mohammed Mari, 14, a child soldier part of Turkish-controlled forces. He was killed in internecine fighting with another proxy group installed in Afrin by Turkey.

    With the detainees issuing demands to human rights organizations, the riot appears related to prison conditions and fears over coronavirus. The prison is located in the vast region from which Turkey has cut off water for over a week. Learn more:

    Turkey has cut off water flow to Hasekah since last night, again demanding more electricity from Mabruka power station. This leaves 460,000+ without access to water, including the main coronavirus quarantine hospital in NE Syria, plus Hol Camp and the main ISIS detention center.

    Yesterday, Turkey again cut water flow to Hasekah region, for the third time this month. As previously, 460,000+ people are left without access to drinking water, including hundreds of thousands of IDPs and camp residents, plus North and East Syria's main quarantine hospital.

    At 4PM today, Allouk water station was switched back on by the Turkish-controlled faction in the area, Sultan Murad. We continue to monitor the situation in the area fed by the station.
