CopperPress Fittings are the only Copper Press Plumbing fittings on the market today that offer a Visual Leak Before Press or (VLBP) solution along with the standard Mechanical Leak Before Press feature to the Mechanical Press Plumbing Industry. The CopperPress VLBP system allows the installer to visually see if the CopperPress fitting has been properly pressed at the point of installation by falling away from the CopperPress fitting at the completion of the press cycle. This unique and patent pending solution allows the installer to visually inspect the entire system and easily identify any unpressed connections before the system is pressurized or tested.
CopperPress fittings also offer the secondary or "industry standard" mechanical Leak Before Press system (LBP) as a backup to the VLBP system. This feature works by creating a positive leak path for any unpressed fittings and utilizes 4 equally place sections of material that were added to the sealing element to provide positive results regardless of installation orientation.
