Disflesh-The Toxic Demos tape

Disflesh is the D-beat punk duo from Almeria Spain and its the child of 9mm, born in 2003 and later was joined by B-52, The Toxic Demos is a cassette consisting the songs of The Beginning of the End and Long Live the New Flesh demos from 2007 and 2009, Totally 12 songs and nearly 26 minutes of D-beat crusty noise. All tracks are remixed and remastered with different drum sound (Disflesh use drum machine). The tape was released by Dessorden Records in 2015 and is still available, also available in Disflesh bandcamp. All and all this is a nice piece of raw and aggresive D-beat shit, the sound of guitar is decent,  the vocals are rough, the drum machine is not annoying and fits with the rest instruments. Nice shit, go for it

Knür-st

Knür hail from Molins De Rei, a municipality near Barcelona, Spain they are a melodic crust/neocrust band and here's their first st recording, available in bandcamp. The band recorded eleven songs and forty (40!) minutes of melodic crust and they managed to deliver the goods: There's great guitar work with nice leading guitar parts and melodic lines, there's the appropriate percentage of metal in here, there's fast pace in all songs with some midpaced emotional parts, screamed/yelled vocals and lyrics in Spanish (a transalation in English in bandcamp would be great). There is some variety with differenr paces in songs, mith more or less metallic hints etc and this make the recording interesting. Knür do not reinvent the wheel of melodic crust but they deliver a decent piece of crust, sometimes mournful and epic and sometimes angry neocrust. I didn't see any physical copies, this is probably only available in digital format in bandcamp. Give it a listening

Instinto-Dimonis lp

Instinto strike again with their second release titled Dimonis after their st lp from 2012(posted here), as you know Instinto include people who are/were involved in bands such as Totälickers, Afganistan Yeye’s, Infäme, Disundead,  Hijxs Taradxs and others. Dimonis comes out as vinyl on a co-operation of labels (Grita o Muere Rec.s, Hysterical Rec.s, Svoboda Rec.s, Guerilla Vinyl, Pandora Rec.s ) and as cassette on Bloodsoaked Records, The record comes with great artwork and consists of eight songs of crust punk incorporating Tragedy and From Ashes Rise with Wolfbrigade there is a high level of quality in everything, from guitar work and melodic lines to rhythm section and from the shouted vocals to the sound quality of recording. There is a metal feeling in guitar and adds some more heaviness, the melodies are emotional, there are some mid paced metallic parts giving air and breath. There is no any weak moment here, not filler songs, the band delivers the crust goods in every song, some times the whole thing reminds me of the old local heroes Etacarinae. All and all this is a great record with nothing to complain about. if you are into the aforementioned bands then walk in, if you are not then walk in too cause this is raging melodic crustat its finest. The band offers the record in bandcamp and staying true to the diy ethics provides a download link for the listener in case the limit of 200 free downloads per month is reached. There is also a youtube vid provided by the band too.

No Sanctuary-Demo 2016

"We're No Sanctuary and we formed in 2014 with the idea of playing some blend between Black Sabbath, Celtic Frost and Amebix (hence our name) adding in the way some vibes from Rudimentary Peni and Killing Joke. The result is some kind of weird crust or something like that, one we're trying to improve with our new songs. Some months ago we self-released our first record where it can be seen to some extent this blend I'm talking about and which includes 7 songs: four fast songs, two slower (one of them is our particular homage to Nick Blinko) and a Killing Joke's Wardance cover."
These guys come from Pablona, Spain. The demo delivers nearly 24 minutes of metallic crust blending Amebix with the other afforementioned bands (Rudimentary Peni and Killing Joke) and with a sick feeling coming from the metal territory, a Celtic Frost-ian flavor painting the crust metal and adding a sinister feeling (check Outside the Circle). This is dark and gloomy, evil and psychotic especially in tracks such as Wytchtanyc Hellbykers and Marcha fúnebre para Nick Blinko/Réquiem oriental/Falo rudimentario but despite the metal elements the band stays in crust pathways and territories. This is available in bandcamp

Ancient Emblem-Throne with no god

Ancient Emblem come from Basque Country, Spain, and Throne with no god  is their first release. members were/are in several acts such as Sejtan, Destierro, Annunaki Revenge, Crickbat, Justice Department, etc, "lovers of gloomy and raw sounds which support veg(etari)an way of life and deeply hate attitudes based on discrimination and domination such as religion, homophobia, sexism, speciesism, racism, fascism, or Nazism". The record comes as lp in 525 copies as well as cassette, music wise this is a blending of crust and old school black metal with both genres balancing in an excellent way. The metal driven riffs are blended with the occasional D-beat and the black metal vocals with the political topics such as religion, environmentalism or individualism. Diswar-The world in flames lp

The World in Flames is the second release of Diswar after their promising debut a couple of years ago. The band stays in the path of true love for D-beat and deliver a record equal and i dare to say even better than Sounds of War. The epic intro sample with battle sounds is followed by a D-beat attack at its best and once again they deliver the goods. The sound quality is excellent and i can't find anything to complain about. There are eight tracks here plus one 8 bit song as outro. All songs stand in the same killer level, fav. tracks: Gasmask, Bastards!!! and D-Beat holocaust. (well, tomorrow i will pick another three as fav. songs since the whole record rulz). This was co-released by La Humanidad es la Plaga, Chaos666 Records, In my Heart Empire, Rawmantic Disasters and Diswar and is also available for free in bandcamp

Destierro-Örlog (2012)

One more band from Spain, this time from Basque Country: I didn't know them when i received a mail from Txusan (from La Humanidad Es La Plaga): We are Destierro, we are based in Basque Country (Spain) and started the band in 2005, we were and are involved in other bands like Hongo,cSL´S3, Crickbat, Represión, Freaknation, Justice Department, etc. In 2006 we released our first 7" and toured Europe. Next year we released a split 7" with Iron Batasuna and toured Europe again. In 2010 we recorded "Örlog" and had a break till last year when we released the album and started to play again. This album was released by Angry voice, Chaos666, Trabuc records, In My Heart Empire and La Humanidad Es La Plaga
All Destierro releases are available for free downloading and streaming in their bandcamp, if you like dark hardcore/dark metallic crust influenced by Tragedy, From Ashes Rise and Wolfbrigade in a less melodic, yet dark and gloomy direction,  give it a listening and score a copy from the aforementioned labels, thanks to  Txusan for sending this.

Entierro-Demo 2008

Entierro were as shortlived crust project from Barcelona, Spain and all i know and found on web about them is the 4 way split with Hijxs Taradxs, Totälickers and Bad Taste, released by a bunch of labels in 2010. They included people involved with loads of bands such as Violent Headache, Angry Mob, Disputa, Mobcharge, Disundead, Afghanistan Ye-Yes, Instinto, Hermanos Pollo, Holocaust in your Head and many others.  Entierro from Barcelona shouldn't be confused with  the sludge band Destino/Entierro from the city of Tarragona, Catalunia since is a different and not related with these punks band.  Entierro contributed four songs (three tracks plus one intro) in this split lp, these songs were recorded for a demo back in 2008 and finally saw the light of day two years later in this split. The demo i received consists of only two songs, maybe Tonyo forgot the 3rd one or this was recorded in a different session, no matter what, many thanx to Tonyo for this and best wishes to his current project!
this is it and apologies, no cover artwork here, ....

The record is limited to only 300 copies and belongs to the bunch of D-beat releases of Rawmantic Disaster that saw the light of day this spring. No download link here, no bandcamp page but a youtube vid, stream it and if you like it score a copy from Rawmantic Disaster

Desobediencia-Demos 2013

I discovered  Desobediencia while i was browsing the punk tags in bandcamp and a few days ago i received a mail by them: "We are Desobediencia, a hardcore punk band from Spain. We formed the band a few months ago and we recorded two demos DYI recently (Opio De Masas and ¿Vivos o Muertos?).  We have influences from bands like Discharge, HHH, Sin Dios, Minor Threat, Crass, RIP, etc." Cool! Music wise ¿Vivos o Muertos? (Alive or dead?) consists of only one song while  Opio De Masas (Opium of masses) delivers four tracks, both were recorded during January 2013, sound is decent and delivers the anger and wrath. This is where Discharge meet Sin Dios ( Apoliticxs reminds clearly Sin Dios while in some other songs they sound closer to straight D-beat territory) and where D-beat meets anarchopunk. Lyrics are in Spanish delivered with shouted vocals and deal with soccer obsession, apolitical stance disobedience and rhetorically ask the alienated society's people  ¿Vivos o Muertos? alive or dead? Both demos are available for free in bandcamp including the lyrics and also there is a download link for each demo provided by the band.. Did i say these punks are only 18-20 years old?  Wait for more by them.

Diswar-Sounds of war lp

Yeah! I fell in love with this at the first D-beat drumming: Diswar come from Bilbao, Spain and include members of Annunaki Revenge and Insolventes, Sounds of War  is their upcoming lp, it will come out on vinyl format by Rawmantic Disasters Rec.s, Chaos666 Rec.s, In My Hear Empire and La Humanidad es la Plaga. You have already understood what's going on here: Dis-name, Discharge letter font logo, war themed cover... yes is the same D-beat story again: Another D-beat band delivering wrath, anger and anti-war polemic through the simplicity of three chord riffs and D-beat drumming. As expected, there is no any reinvention of wheel but the band walks decently the well known path walked by million other dis-bands and delivers the goods. No weak parts in the record, no fillers, just killer dis-songs and decent sound quality. Lyric wise, the anti-war spirit is always there, the record consists of ten tracks plus a surprise song in the end, i will not say anything about it, just go on and listen it (and don't skip the whole record for this!), these guys have great sense of humor!
Sounds of War will come out in the next months (March, April) by the aforementioned labels only on vinyl and not cd and is already available for streaming in bandcamp. There's a D-beat band named Diswar from PDX but there's no any relation with these punks here
This is it, no more ranting, D-beat lovers walk in without fear, this is fo your ears!

Instinto-st lp (2012,Svoboda Records)

Instinto is new band from Barcelona, Spain they formed in 2011 but the members were (are?) involved in many bands such as Totälickers, Afganistan Yeye’s, Infäme, Disundead,  Hijxs Taradxs and others. Here we have their first lp which was released in 2012 by Svoboda Records and is also available for streaming in bandcamp. The record consists of ten tracks and an amazing blending of crustcore, D-beat with hints of metal and to be more specific, Swedish Death Metal: The usual D-Beat drumming  is fast and steady, bass is heavy pounding, guitar sound is thick and solid  with a metal edge, the crust/hardcore riffs are here and also some leading guitar parts add some melodies that paint the songs and remind Wolfbrigade, Skitsystem, Tragedy, From Ashes Rise and the likes. The singer has a nice and throatty voice and delivers the goods, he sings in Spanish and is accompanied by some screamed/yelled backing vocals. Lyrics included in a sheet (why not English translation?) and sound quality is great. All and all this is a great release full of power and energy, there is no weak spot in the record, everything was made the way has to be.This is probably still available so check Svoboda Rec.s or the labels/distros listed in this page. Future plans include a second lp on Svoboda and a split ep with Rhukkus from Mexico.

Cs-137-st tape 2012

Cs-137 is a raw punk quartet from Barcelona, Spain and they are named after the radioactive isotope of caesium which is formed as one of the blah blah blah....(check some scientific sites for more). They formed sometime in 2011, the songs were recorded in 2011 and '12 the demo was released by Discos Enfermos and delivers fast raw punk. The tape consists of fourteen fast, raw, catchy and short songs full of energy, reminding a japcore band, the singer helps to this, despite singing in Spanish has a vitriolic voice that sounds like Sakevi.  Cs-137 offer this for streaming and free downlading in the bandcamp.
