Wärfear/ Protest-split 7'' out soon

Wärfear and Protest launched songs from their upcoming split 7" in bandcamp. Wärfear from Malacca, Malaysia need no introduction, this is going to be their second vinyl after the great split 7" with Braincëll and don't forget their amazing demo tape. They uploaded two tracks of metallic crust in the vein of Wolfpack, melodic yet epic and with a strong Tragedy/From Ashes Rise flavor in this recording. The songs last  6:20 minutes and probably these are the complete Wärfear side. The band remains in the high level of quality of their previous releases and delivers the goods.
Protest are punk vets for Singapore, they released The Biggest Proof Of Human Greed Is War (tape 1998) and a split cdr with Desecrate (2000) and remained tormant for almost two decades. They came back to life in January 2018 releasing Moral Injustice ep limited to 100 cd's and touring with Emerged in Malaysia and Singapore, at the same time a cassette version of Moral Injustice' inluding 'Biggest Proof of Human Greed is War' as box set, was released from Broken Noise. The band uploaded one track of D-beat crust punk from the upcomimg split 7"
Co-released by Azadghei Records, Broken Noise Records and Overflöd Records.

Deathrace-War is not The Matter, The Matter is You (tape)

D-Beat Raw Punk from south east Asia: Deathrace come from Singapore and War is not The Matter, The Matter is You is their six track pro tape released by Azadghei Records. The band delivers ferocious Raw punk in the vein of Disclose and their compatriots noise makers Lifelock. The artwork reveals what you should expect here and include lyrics  (and a trivia about artwork: There is a bunch of bands who have used this photo in their cover artwork:Wold Burns to Death, Disflesh, Grieve HPSS and probably many others). The cassette comes with download card and sticker, the songs are repeated on b side of tape and at the moment it is available from several distos (Revenge Rec.s, Distort Reality, Soap and Spikes etc), . Three songs are available in bandcamp.

Lifelock/Rappa-split 7"

Here's a nice split with two bands that blast everything that stands in their way: Lifelock hail from Singapore and their great Who' ll Make Noise Not Music? tape was followed by the amazing And for What 7"  on Full Force Hardcore Destruction  (tape version on Blood of War and Blackhole 2012), Rapaa come from Morioka, Japan and include members of Guka, they have a couple of demos and cassette/cdr releases under their belt and this is their first vinyl effort. The record comes without cover, in a folder where the vinyl is placed in, music wise delivers a D-beat storm: Lifelock deliver three tracks and their Discharge./Doom/Disaster/Disclose worship, a total mind blowing side, things get faster on the other side with Rappa delivering four anthems of simillar D-beat hardcore with the typical rough japanese vocals and flavor,  All and all this is a killer split full of power and aggression, there is nothing to complain here, i hope a repress with cover artwork will pop up (and same for And For What 7" ), this was released by 4490 Records from Singapore and distributed in Europe by La Vida En Us Mus. Available for streaming in bandcamp, score a copy if you have the chance.

LifeLock-Who'll make noise not music ?!!

LifeLock hail from Singapore and deliver noize not music: Don't know much about them ,apart from Who'll make noise not music ?!! they have the fresh new And For What?  which came out recently on tape and 7" format. Named after Doom's classic and having a title like this and a studded jacket on cover  make clear what we got here: Another Discharge clone delivers the noise we love,
"Noise and DISCHARGE influence in the vein of NO FUCKER. Their name is a DOOM reference, FYI. Same vocal devastation similar to ABSURD SYSTEM with wailing Scandi guitars held down by superbly done D-Beat. I picked this up to review specifically based on the fact that the cover is a studded jacket with DISASTER written on the back and I'm glad I did. Full Force Hardcore Destruction put this out" - Amelia - MRR #345" said enough, don't miss And For What?, its a killer release.

Wormorot members arrersted by religion police in Malaysia

The religious anti punk shit in South East Asia continues: Singapore's grinders Wormrot were arrested while touring in Malaysia in the early hours of New Year's Day by religious authorities, they were taken into custody from one police department to another and finally they had to pay $950 USD per person and be free, their crime was been unmarried women and men in the same room the same time, this is ridiculous as shit...
the following is taken from Terrorizer mag: "Singaporean grinders Wormrot were arrested in Malaysia in the early hours of New Year's Day by religious authorities.According to the band's Tumblr, Wormrot were playing a New Year's Eve show in Kuala Lumpur. While at their hotel, the Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (Selangor Islamic Religious Department) came into their room. Azean, the band's manager, says:"After several questions and telling us that it is wrong for unmarried Muslim men and women to be in one room, they took our passports and we were taken to the police station to give our statements and call someone to bail us." check the page for more.
Take a look at band's tumblr site, here and read more details about the incident and the situation there about religion matters.

VA-Asian Crust vol 3:Singapore

One more compilation in the Asian Crust series and this time the bands come from Singapore. As usual, i don't know any shit about the bands, (ok, i already knew Distrust), there are 34 bands covering the fields from crust and D-beat to Oi! and from mincecore and grind to melodic punk and punk 77. the songs last for about 80 minutes, i don't know if these bands represent the scene of Singapore but its a good start since among them there are some really interesting acts.
Take a look at vol I and vol II if you already haven't, and something for those who might misunderstood some things: This is a web compilation, not an actual release and none of previous Asian Crust compilations is an actual release, all songs are collected from myspaces, there is no any profit out of it, just the spreading of word and the supporting of scene.

Diseptic/Wormrot-split tape 2008

This is a split tape of Singapore grinders Wormrot and the grinding crustie Diseptic from Greece, brought to you by Noise Attack Distro:
Wormrot started as a death-grind act and after many line up changes they walked into the grindcore territory:In 2007 they recorded their nine track demo and in 2008 the "Dead" ep (selfreleased/Legion Productions & Speed Thrash Attack), the "Abuse" (Scrotum Jus Records) was released in spring of '09, that year the band toured in west/central Europe and appeared in Obscene Extreme Fest ,there are plans for some upcoming splits. Diseptic is one man grinding crust band from Greece and this must be their first release (there must be some demo recordings though).
Grindcore freaks will choose Wormrot side while the crust orientated will prefer the greek guy: Wormrot contribute ten tracks and twelve minutes of manic speed, grinding noisy guitars, distorted deep low growls/high pitched screams and nothing less than the usual gridncore paranoia.First five tracks were recorded for the tape, the rest are taken from older recordings but the quality is similar to the new stuff. Diseptic side is much more into grinding crust side of noise, the guy offers seven tracks balancing between grindcore and crust bringing tunes very close to Disrupt for approximately nine minutes. There are grindcore hints and D-beat as well, fast beat and brutal vocals, only a few slower moments, wish only there were more tracks and much variety with breaks, more slower parts etc but even what is delivered is good enough and wins my taste. The tape comes with no lyrics, according to Wormrot track list the last five tracks are taken from the '07 demo but actually are taken from "Dead" ep, sound quality is dissent for both bands and helps them deliver the brutality.
this was released by Noise Attack Distro in 2008, only 150 hand numbered copies were made, riping tapes is a pain in the ass but here is a copy for you:

griind!
