Distant Abuse - Gargoyles ‎cd

Distant Abuse is a D-beat crustcore band from Bryansk, Russia, formerly known as Travolta. Travolta was acrive in 2015 and in 2017 the band changed name to Distant Abuse,  Gargoyles is the second release under that name after Dirty Bomb demo cassette from 2017, it came out as cd in December 2018 (but according to their bandcamp it was recorded in 2015), it was released by No Bread and delivers 13 tracks and nearly 22 minutes of fast D-beat Crustcore with brutal vocals. This is fast and ferocious D-beat driven crustcore and the only connection with grindcore is the cover artwork, the singer growls in Russian but there is english explanation in bandcamp, the sound quality is decent, songs are fast and short and some proggression in song structres would make things even better. Anyway, listen it in bandcamp..

Warshit - Impossible To Forgive

The cover artwork shouts loud this is D-beat: The band is Warshit from Moscow, Russia, not Warsick from Canada.  Impossible To Forgive is the second recording of these D-beat punks after Born to Serve tape, it comes as cassette released by Enrage Records and consists of 9 tracks and nearly 17 minutes of D-beat crusty hardcore. Recorded live at Pentagram House studio by Igor Butz, cover design by Vika. Available also in bandcamp (along with lyrics) and youtube.

Step to Frredom-The Rotten Era

Step to Freedom from Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, is one of these hidden diamonds in bandcamp. They are a long standing crust punk band, they "were formedr in late 2007. In 2009, the mini-album "Without making the first step, losing the last hope" was recorded, released in limited copies and distributed only in the territory of the Russian Federation. In 2010, the demo "Faces of Death" was recorded. In 2014 they released the album "Social Zombies", a liited edition was released on audio cassettes. "Cemetery for the Humankind" was released in 2017" and The Rotten Era is their fresh new release. Recorded in Noveber and December 2018, it consists of 4 tracks and 15 minutes of metallic crust/stenchcore inspired by bands such as Misery, Antisect and early Hellbastard. This is really so good beyond any expectations. Didn't see anything about physical release, this is available in bandcamp

Contrast-6 tracks

Contrast is one man D-beat band from Petrozavodsk, a city located in northwest Russia, no any infos on the web, only a bandcamp page with no information. This is the debut release of this guy, uploaded in Bandcamp in December 2017 and probably recorded sometime earlier. As the title says, this recording consists of 6 tracks and brings nearly ten minutes of old school D-Beat, the quality is rough and noisy and fits nicely with the genre, the riffs are smart and catchy,  the vocals are angry shouts drawn in reverb. All and all this is a nice piece of D-beat shit and considering the fact that there is only one man behind this and probably doing everything until the songs come out in their final form, this is way better than your expectations. Hope to see more by Contrast in the future or even this in physical format.

Warona-2014/2015 ep

"We're Warona. It means Ворона or Crow. We're left-winged dark-hardcore from deep town in the center of Russia. We just uploaded our EP! But we don't know what to do with it. So we're looking for the label or another band for split to release our stuff! Now we have no tours at all and have no physical things to share our music with people. stuff was being recorded from the beginning of the 2014th till the end of the year". This is neocrust/dark hardcore from Saransk and 2014/2015 ep is their second release after their demo cassette from 2013, it consists of five tracks that last over twenty minutes and delivers pessimistic, melodic crust with screamed vocals (in Russian), acoustic parts, tempo changes from fast parts to emotional slower breaks. For fans of Alpinist, Madame Germen and such bands, this is available in bandcamp

Warona-Demo 2013

Warona is a quartet from Saransk, Russia and this is their first demo recorded in January of 2013 and released by Not Only One Side Records on tape format and in 50 copies. The demo delivers three songs plus one intro and last over 24 minutes, all songs are lenghty (the shortest one lasts over six minutes) and music wise they deliver neocrust with acoustic parts, slow emotional passages and faster breaks, the progression of acoustic intro-slow/mid paced part-faster outbreak appears again and again, and the whole thing reminds of bands such as Ictus, Madame Germen, Alpinist and Remains of the Day. The singer shouts in Russian, the sound quality is decent. All and all this is a nice demo, this is available for streaming and dowloading in bandcamp, Warona has Twitter and VK accounts. thanx to Anton (guitar/vox for sending this)

Heat Shock/Azide Resistance split cd 2013

Here we are again, its been more than a month since the last post and yeah its been a month of hell and bullshit.A lot of shit happened and keeps happening and leaving no free time for updating nor some energy. Some other activities came up and completely stole any free time, honestly, during the last year i kept asking my self what's the meaning of continuing this shit since punk blogs came to a downfall and  bandcamp has took over. Anyway i ll keep doing this shit but not in regular basis and time will show....
Heat Shock/Azide Resistance  is a split cd with 2 bands coming from Russia,Heat Shock is Crust Punk / Thrash Metal band, formed in December 2011 and this is their second release after First cd in 2012, here they contribute five songs of a crust/ thrash hybrid including the massacre of a Green day song. Azide Resistance is a mystery since there is no any info on the web about them, they deliver 2 instrumental songs in the same vein of thrash metal/crust punk. If you are into metal punk then give it a listening, link is provided by Tomash (Heat Shock vox)

VA-Трибьют Discharge cd

Here is a Discharge tribute cd from Russia, i don't know anything about this release since there is no any information on cd cover, the guy who mailed it to me didn't include any information and a google serach returns no any answer. The compilation consists of ten bands: Örk Bastards, Distress, Kawakami Nightmare, Euthanasia, The LTP, Lead by Far, Предел Прочности (Tensile strength), the Bristled Up, the Minc and Vietnamese Guillotine. This is a nice tribute, the only bad thing here is the suffering from the difference or inequality  in sound quality among the bands since is raw or bad in some bands while others deliver their song in great sound production. This is an interesting effort including Distress the most well known abroad Russian D-beat band and some other bands known too (Kawakami Nightmare, the Minc), the rest bands are more or less unknown to me but some of them  unexpectedly cover nicely the the Discharge tracks. All and all this is a nice compilation and a tribute to those who have influenced myriads of bands, as a Discharge and D-beat lover i really liked it. Download link is provided by...the guy who contributed it ( i don't know if he has any relationship with the bands) and includes front and back cover, if you know any information about this release just drop some lines here.

Pincher-Killing Machines cd 2013

I received a mail by this all-girl band saying these: Pincher is an all-girl Moscow band hellbent on delivering the finest crossover metal since 2009. Formed by members of a seminal grunge act Diet Pill, the trio is busy being a hard hitting live sensation, playing both home turf and touring Russia to no end. Their mission is to sing the messages of utmost urgency, celebrating independence of thought and action, backing it up by fastest rhythms and hookiest riffs. PINCHER's first release, a split with hardcore outfit Me Not Me, contains their signature songs like "Woman's Place Is In The Kitchen", "Blockbuster" and "Not Alright" while the trademark concert favorites include "Raining Blood" by Slayer and "Step Down" by Sick Of It All.
The band continued playing successfull shows not only in Moscow, but also in Saint Petersburg, Krasnodar, Voljskiy, Lipetsk and other Russian cities, joining the legendary punk rock and hardcore Russian and foreign bands, in 2013 year Pincher released their first album "Killing machines" and began its first foreign club tour in Finland to promote the album."
I can't say much here since this genre is not my cup of tea, music wise this is punk rock full of aggression, it starts with a Mortal Kombat soundtrack cover while in The Who there is a sample from Taxi Driver movie, the singer sings is Russian and English (all song titles are in English but some songs are in Russian) and from what the song titles reveal, they deliver some sarcastic and provoking lyrics (i wish they included the lyrics in bandcamp). There are seven songs here, short and catchy. Sound quality is excellent and cover artwork  is in old school movie poster style, Killing Machines is availabe for free in bandcamp, check  Pincher in farcebook and VK site.

The LTP/Skverna-split cd

Here is some noise core stuff: Here we have a split cd with two bands from Russia: Skverna hail from Moscow  they are a post-hardcore, noise rock act and so far they have several releases under their belt, The LTP send their greets from the frozen Siberia an they also have several works.
Skverna deliver four songs of  something that could be described as industrial noise core or something like that, i haven't listen any other of their releases so i don't know if this noise describes their music,  the LTP deliver some noise close to Skverna's, including the mutilation of Fight Back by Discharge. I am not into this kind of noise but i know there must be some ears out there that would like this. Released by G-Records
Download links are provided by the LTP, thank you very much!

Trophies of Death-Back to Dictatorshit cd 2011

Political charged brutal mincecore-grindcore here: Trophies of Death come from Koenigsberg, Kaliningrad, Russia and Back to Dictatorshit  is their seven song demo limited to only 100 copies and it was released in 2011 on cd format. I don't know much about them, the only shit i know is that their discography includes Back to Dictatorshit, the four way split cd with Mental Disorder (Chile), Corrupt Humanity (UK) and Obliteracao (Brazil) and an upcoming split with Marcellus Wallace. Back to Dictatorshit  brings  10 and a half minutes of mincecore noise brutality and politically  themed old school grindcore in the vein of mincecore masters Agathocles and their sons Archagathus with songs titles such as  Burned Kremlin, Bombs Of Democrappy, To Hate A State, ACAB etc. the political messages behind the grunts (anti-state, anti-fascist, anti-religion etc) can be found with all details in the lyric sheet that is included. There are beat changes with the usual breaks that lead from slow and tormenting parts to fast blasting outbreaks, distorted guitars and grunting vocals and hints of crust (Trophies of Death tag their band as Crust/Grindcore but of course they move rather in grindcore than crust fields).
You can contact them in Farcebook, myshit or Lastfm or mail at noise-grinder (at) inbox (dot) ru for a copy for a pleasant ear bleeding sonic torment. Download link is provided by the band (thanx!)

B.D.M.-Revelation 6:12-17 (2012)

The latest release of B.D.M is a sonic journey to the Four Horsemen chapter of Apocalypse: We have met this guy a while ago so there is no need to say anything about him, Revelation 6:12-17 brings the Black Metal/D-Beat blending along with some atmospheric intros and covers of Sweden's depressive black metallers Shinning (which is my favorite song of release) and Disclose (raw D-beat played the B.D.M. way). Ambient tracks were recorded back in 2007, this time the music is more in to the industrial metal territory than the Black Metal or crust fields.

B.D.M.-Demo 2012

One man raw blackened crust, dark ambient band from Moscow, Russia and this is his first demo. I m not much into this genre so i can't say much about it: Here you got five tracks, named I, II, III etc bringing raw and noisy black metal with some emotional ambient-ish breaks popping up here and there, track IIII (should be numbered IV, right?) is a relaxing acoustic sonic journey, lyrical themes deal about misanthropy and depression, the name of band stands for Besvikelsens Dystra Monotoni, there is a Ambient black metal project from Russia, (clck here  but is probably another band. Link is provided by the band.
