Noise Aholic-Discography

The last hours a youtube vid with a band named Noise Aholic has become a little viral since i see it posted around in facebook, the spiked jacked on cover artwork and the title of release, D-Beat Chainsaw Noise make obvious what we got here, i decided to give it a listening and from the first moments i was knocked donw: Ferοcious and relentless crusty D-beat raw punk at its finest! A perfect sonic feast for the Raw Punk and D-beat lovers.  A quick search gave more information: Noise Aholic is the one man project of Owe Inborr from Dispyt and D-Beat Chainsaw Noise isn't his only recorded material: A random search in Youtube gives a few more results , there are totally five releases, all of them recorded during 2018 (actually 3-4 months ago), all of them delivering the same D-beat noise attack, some are more into raw punk D-beat and others with more crusty flavor but always delivering endless feedback of punk noise aggression. Everything was recorded, mixed and mastered by Owe Inborr at Wolfthrone Studios. Honestly this was a surprse. Noise Aholic hasn't any site, no bandcamp, no facebook, but all recordings are available in youtube.  Owe is the owner of Wolfthrone Studios, hope he will be have this D-beat fever in the future and to record some more. Anyway here's his work so far:

Our Beautiful World

Haltlose-A Sense of Reality in Crisis

Finnish crusties Haltlose are back with a couple of new songs and expect to release a 12" ep,  for those who are not familiar with the band. this is a Wolfbrigade sound alike crust band and their first releases Questionable Fatherland and Natural are really great works of melodic metallic crust. Their later work named A Sense of Reality in Crisis continues in the same path and same lever of quality and is presented in bandcamp with two tracks available for listening

Svordom-Förstörd Värld

Svordom is a crust quartet from Turku, Finland, they started in 2014 and have played a dozen of gigs, their first demo was Svett, Spott & Svordomar (Sweat, Spit & Swearing), it came out as a three song cassette, Förstörd värld (Ruined world) is their second release, it was recorded in November 2015 and will come out as cassette too. Music wise, Förstörd värld delivers six songs a strange blending of crust, neo crust and hardcore, in some songs they are a neo crust band (Kärlek dödar), in others they are a hardcore band (Förstörd värld) and sometimes they mix both subgenres (Häxjakt). The catchy guitar riff of Låt dom aldrig få se dig gråta brings in mind Blondie's One way or another. (or is it me who gets it hahaah). Good stuff, both Svordom releases are available in bandcamp, the band has fardcebook, soundcloud, Youtube, etc, all link in their bandcamp page.

Kusenpolttamaruumis-st

Kusenpolttamaruumis hail from Hell-sinki, Finland and its a duet formed by a guy who has/had a numerous projects. The st tape we got here is the first recording of this project, it was recording in summer '15 and released as cassette, it consists of eight tracks or primitive blending of black metal and crust punk. I don't know what the name of band means, the song titles are in Suomi, this piece of shit has its roots in the first days of black metal and has a punkish flavor, the vocals are sinister and the whole shit brings memories of early Bathory and Venom, played in a tube and close to GuterSkull, a one man project that i posted recently with similarities in the whole idea and feeling. The sound quality is just ok for this short of music. The tape is available in bandcamp and there are two version of physical release: the DIY one on Vinland Wolf Warfield with xeroxed cover and a pro-tape with different cover and is available by Odmetnik, Anyway, if you are into black metal orientated crust or punk with black metal influences this is for you

Haltlose-Natural 2014

Suomi crusties Haltlose strike back with another release, their debute Questionable fatherland was a nice surprise with its power and melodic aggressiveness. Haltlose "started as an vision of a two friends who listened a lot of swedish and finnish crust/d-beat bands like Wolfbrigade, Disfear, Martyrdöd and Unkind, to name a few". Natural was recorded during the summer of '14 and consists of five tracks of metallic and melodic crust in the vein of Wolfbrigade and Tragedy. Metallic heavy riffs, excellent vocals and lyrics about  the absurd forms of human behaviour and thinking, D-beat driven rhythm section and decent sound quality. All and all this a great follow up to their debute. This is available in bandcamp

Haltlose-Questionable Fatherland

Here is something really interesting: Haltlose is a five piece crust band who come from Kotka, Finland and Questionable Fatherland is their first demo, currently available in digital format on bandcamp and soon as cassette. "Haltlose is brand new metallic hardcore/crust band from Finland. It started as an vision of a two friends who listened a lot of swedish and finnish crust/d-beat bands like Wolfbrigade, Disfear, Martyrdöd and Unkind, to name a few. So they started to work on songs with influences from the bands mentioned before, but with a little spices from world of metal music. They founded suitable guys to form the band and recorded this demo Questionable Fatherland, wich will be released as an casette tape in the future. The lyrical consept of the song are mainly focused on the absurd forms of human behaviour and thinking.".  Questionable Fatherland delivers six tracks and its a great piece of metallic crust reminding of Wolfbrigade, From Ashes Rise, Tragedy and such melodic crust bands, the rhythm guitar has this heavy sound and is blended nicely with the leading guitar parts and boosted by the bass and the D-beat driven drums.Overall this is a great debut demo, these guys captured the appropriate percentage of melody, heaviness and aggression and blend all together, they don't reinvent the wheel but they are really great in what they do. Questionable Fatherland is currently available on bandcamp (along with the lyrics) and is going to come out as cassette.

Agasia-Vieraantuneet 2013

Agasia is a quartet from Turku, Finland and Vieraantuneet is their first demo ep, recorded in autumn 2013 and is going to come out on tape format soon, i don;t know much about the band so lets focus on the music: Vieraantuneet consists of only three songs but it last twenty minutes delivering emotional and melodic crust mixed with post hardcore parts: The first two songs begin with a slow paced emotional post hardcore part reminding the atmospheric passages of Fall of Effrafa, Alpinist and the likes, and in time escalate in to crust outbreaks full of mournful melodies, catchy riffs and the usual fast D-beat drumming, reminding the usual suspects: Ekkaia, Downfall of a Gaia, Ictus etc. The 3rd song follows a different way as it starts with mid to fast pace part full of energy and ends with a slow grand finale. The changes from slow to fast are great, the vocalist screams his lungs out in desperate yells, lyrically the songs deal about how people alienate themselves from the nature and cause of the alienation they finally start to fear, thus the title of ep, Vieraantuneet (Alienated). You can find the lyrics in bandcamp, they are in Finnish and unfortunately there is no translation, the sound quality is excellent and in the level of official release. This is great post crust, neo crust, melodic crust, no matter what you call it this is really good, melodic and heavy, emotional and D-beat-ish when it has to, pessimistic and melacholic. This is brilliant recording. I can't find any site of them only their bandcamp where they offer the ep for free and a post in farcebook about a tour by them starting just before Crustmass.

Dispair-The Progress of Human Extinction demo 2012

Sometimes a simple picture showing some horrible shit is enough to make you feel despair much more than any brutal gory metal or grindcore drawing artwork, that’s what  i felt when i first saw The Progress of Human Extinction of Finnish Dispair. I don’t know anything about them, they seem to be a new band, if you know anysht just drop some lines. The demo is a kinda short, it brings five tracks and only six  minutes of D-beat Varkukers and Discharge worship: Something weird is happening here, this must be a forgotten Varukers recording: Yes, i m not kidding: The demo starts with a Motorhead-ish bass intro and soon turns into a early 80’s D-beat anthem reminding or Varukers, The sound quality is raw and decent for the genre, they don’t reinvent the wheel but they put some passion and energy in their D-beat and deliver the goods.

Squalor-Degradation demo 2012

Squalor is a new crust band from southern Finland and Degradation is their first demo recorded a few weeks ago. Unfortunately Urho didn't add some information about them when mailed the demo. Anyway, Degradation brings seven tracks and seven minutes of brutal and noisy crust. The guitar sound is very raw and distorted and along with the brutal growls leads the band close to the grindcore fields. Beat moves fast with some mid paced parts, sound quality is raw. This is noisy, brutal and ear tormenting.
Link is provided by the band. Get it!

Dismaster-No Gods but Dismaster demo tape 2012

I won't rant much about Dismaster since Mike of Fifteen Counts.. more or less said everything that could be said: No gods but masters is a seven track tape delivering ten minutes of D-beat with a Motorhead feeling and a vocalist who sounds like a Japanese hardcore band singer. Great work here, fast and steady acid D-beat hardcore full of wrath. The tape was released by Vlad Tapes and sold out in three weeks, Truth Decay Tapes is going to release the US edition. Apart from this tape there is the four track Live at Hässäkkä-päivät from 2011. give both one (or maybe more) listening(s)!, Sami thanks for sending this, cheers!

Dismaster-Live at Hässäkkä-päivät 2011

The name says it all: D-beat and D-beat again. These dudes come from Finland and here's a four track live set at Hässäkkä-päivät Oulu. I don't know anything about them, some Finnish punks and one of members discus here but i can't understand a single fuckin word, the guy from Dismaster says something about tape,(a tape release?), there is no any myspace or other site so there is no information about, these tracks are available for downloading in their bandcamp, the sound is descent and in good level for live recording and delivers the brutality and anger so here they are. A video shot from this live on youtube, here. Enjoy the shit, if you know anything about them just drop a line.

Evolved as One-Tape ep 2011

I don't know anything about Evolved as One, this tape tracks were offered by them and the mail included the following writing:"Evolved As None is a Finnish primitive grind/crust band started in 2008 in the city of Helsinki. Our challenge is to face the all problems, anger and frustration that lies under the society and human being. To express this feelings we play primitive and fast grindcore. We've released our first EP in 2011 (although it was recorded already in 2009). New material in next autumn." Well, these words describe perfectly what you get here: A sonic grinding storm in seven minutes and eight songs spitting fast old school distorted grinding noise with thrashing drums and dual shouted/yelled vocal attack. Named after a Napalm Death songs should make all a little suspicious. A couple of samples of new tracks there are in their myspace page and continue the same noisy shit.

Noituus-Mögäten Maailmanloppuun Demo cd 2010

Noituus (Witchcraft) hail from Turku, Finland, they are active since 2005 and they have a shitload of releases under their belt (check their myspace). My blog mate Gallo posted a tape by them including their first demos and a live recording, here you got Mögäten Maailmanloppuun cd recorded in 2010 and sixteen tracks and over of 15 minutes of chaotic drunk crust noise:96% crust, 3% D-beat, 1% delirium tremens. this describes everything! Comparing to the first demos, Mögäten.. sounds heavier and more "professional", the fast, chaotic inferno has decent production and could be described as an effort to create something more than just noise. All lovers of drunken raw noise give it a listening! many thanks to lumiko for offering this, cheers dude!

Ydintuho-Demo Tape 2008

Okay, back to the old continent. And,yup, were in the everfrosted Finland, but dont expect hardcore punk or anything like that. These guys blended some punk with some black metal, threw in some Motorheadish parts and made this whole thing crusted, maybe something like Darkthrone even, but with a bit more crustcore sound in the tunes, which to be honest, made me play this thing over and over.Ydintuho has released only this demo so far in their 3 years of existance, and did some line up changing on the way.The tape is self released, the first time on 15 coppies, and the second time, also limited to 66 coppies, which i think are all gone, but never the less,we have 4 tracks of pure finnish blackened crust, for which im preety sure will crush your crusty skull.Awsome drumming on all tracks, with black vocals and awesome motor driving guitar, bringing the cold of the finnish forests closer to your anger.Nuclear Disaster is the translation of the bands name, and thats exactly what you get on this january sunday.Have fun!!!

Noituus-Demo Tape 2006

Noituus is a 3 member band coming from the cold's of Turku,Finland.Theyre formed around 2005 and have released a shitloads of material during theyre 4 year existence period, which im not going to copy from space page, you can check that part youreself. From the stuff they have released ive heard only theyre split with sarkofachocrss88 and a 3 way split with Praia de Vomito and Melanocetus Murrayi where they sound quite like they do on this demo. This recording is released on a tape in 2006 has 3 recordings on it,first demo, second demo and live in oulu all recorded in a 10 month period, and what you get on these recordings is some blatant kicking in the head with a noisecore crust wooden panel. The name means Witchcraft, and they say they play 96% crust 3% d beat and 1 % delirium tremens.Break something!!!

Sotatila-Eka Demo CD

Sotatila is a hc punk d beat mixture with people coming from austria and finland, and to be more specific, the vocal is Jukka from Riistetyt, hes from finland and is doing the vocals i think, and the rest of the band,is the staff from Ruidosa Inmundicia(link is to their demo posted earlier). This band exists for few years now, from around 2004,not really sure, and this is their demo released on cd and tape format in 2005.besides this, they have some tracks from this demo on some compilations, and did a ep release around 2007,which can be scored on plague bearer,if anyone cares. So,finnish fast hardcore punk with lots of d beating,in the veins of terveet kadet and riistetyt, and also, just to know,Sotatila means war in finnish, and you can get this demo from their website which doesnt seems to work anymore or im too lazy to find it,but anyway,u can get this and take the rest of the day off!

Horros-Traininghouse tapes

From their myspace:
Horros is a trio based band from southern-Finland, from the City of Hameenlinna. Horros was forged in the fall of 2008 as a trio, containing, Elias-vocals and guitar, Miska - Guitar and Lassi - drums. Miska left the majestic armada of Horros on the very years ChristMass, but before that, he called out this scary crusty-croc Urho, to hit the bass like never before. So, few songs were made and some sodom, venom covers were played. On the spring of 2009 the band got its own training space. So we recorded some traininghouse tapes and now we have these great studio recorded tunes.

Konkurssi-2nd demo

These four guys come from Tampere, Finland, they formed Konkurssi in late 2005 and their recorded material includes two demos: The first one was released as CD-R in Japan by Reset Equal Not Zero Records and the second is supposed sometime to be released as a split 7" with another Finnish band.
The second demo consists of six tracks that hardly last over a minute each and delivers a blending of noisy hardcore putting together Disorder, Japanese noise core and '80's Finnish hardcore: Music wise and vocals style each song is a sonic assault of Zuo, GAI, Confuse, Disorder, Conclude, Kaaos etc. These bands plus some more in the same vein are mentioned in their myspace as influences so what else should we expect? The sound is raw and dissent, lyrics are in Finnish (one track in English), the whole thing lasts not over eight minutes and i m more than sure that the voice in the intro of Kristityn helvetti belongs to Mick Harris of Napalm Death.
People of Reset Equal Not Zero have already a bunch of releases under their belt: they are involved with releases of Conclude, Havaistys, Dispose, Abnorm and many others, just check their myshit.

crush it!
