Metachrist - Plays Anti Cimex

This is the 4rth release of Canadian old school stenchcore crusties Metachrist, the band formed in the fall of 2019 and self-released four cassettes. In this latest recording they recorded the entire Rapped Ass and Victims of a Bomb Raid 7"s of Anti Cimex  and bring them in cassette format too. Warkrusher - All is Not Lost (Demo '19)

This band comes from from Montreal, Canada, featuring members of Napalm Raid, Parasytes, Disterror, IDNS, Mueco, Big Naturals, Metalian, and Zymotic so do not confuse them with Warkrusher from San Diego and Tijuana. All is Not Lost is band's first demo, its brings 8 songs including an intro and 18 minutes of heavy stenchcore crust inspired by Axegrinder, Deviated Instinct, SDS, Bolt Thrower, Effigy, Misery, Fatum, Swordwielder etc This is heavy as hell metallic stenchcore..This is available in bandcamp. I didn't notice any band site around, All is Not Lost came out as cassette, available from the band  Revenge Records in Japan.

Metachrist - Final Bloody Master (tape)

Raw and primitive guitar sound, old school feeling, insane guitar solos coming from the '80s death metal era, three chord riffs and D-beat for the fast parts, metal edged guitar works for the slower and emotional and echo-ed shouted vocals. This is Metachrist from Canada who revive the '80's UK crust in their Final Bloody Master 5 track cassette. Many classic '80's and early '90's crust (and D-beat crust as well) bands are mentioned as their influences and the band managed to deliver an alloy that reeks  crust stench. Final Bloody Master delivers 2 fast and 3 mid-paced emotional tracks and 17 minutes of old school stenchcore crust. This is filthy, sick and raw the way should be and comes in home dubbed onto blank factory tapes with photocopied j-card. Cassettes are available from the band, available also in bandcamp

Conquest - FOAD tape

A few weeks i posted the cassette of Conquest an obscure D-beat band from Montreal, Canada, There's n't anything on the web about the band, or the demo, just a Youtube video and some posts in facebook. Now the band releases a second cassette titled FOAD, it delivers 4 tracks and nearly 6 mintes of D-beat and its even better than their first cassette. The recording seems to come from different session to first cassette, it has better sound quality and delivers the goods better. This is amazing pure D-beat, i don't need to say anything ,enoy the D-beat!

Conquest hail from Montreal, Canada and this is their demo released by No Name Records a distro/label based in Ukraine. There's n't anything on the web about the band, just a Youtube video and some posts in facebook.Anyway, band members seem to adore the founders of D-beat and here they copy and deliver this legacy with their demo. The cassette consists of five tracks and eight minutes of D-beat and pure Discharge worship., the sound quality is raw and primitive and works nicely, No novelties, nothing new but pure Discharge love, give a listening.

SNARA - Artillery Demo

One more fresh new release. SNARA hail from Montreal, Canada and was formed by people who were/are in some great noisy raw punk and crashercrust bands such as Mueco, Zymotic, Project GBG and others and the history the members carry says a lot about the quality of noise you re going to get here. Artillery comes as pro cassette and was co-released by Black Konflik and Sickhead Records from Söm, Pahäng, Malaysia , it consists of four tracks of crashercrust noisy punk in the vein of Zyanose, Gloom and such bands. Not any sound sample here but there is a youtube vid and it will rock your ears with a noise attack and a blending of the aforementioned bands. This is sold out from Black Konflik but still available from Sickhead Records  but you can find it from Spyder45 Record store ,Campbell complex ( KL),Warcloud Records ( KL ), ZUATH Generation Distro ( JHR ), Green Peace Distro ( JHR ), Bebal Mailorder Distro ( MLK ), Azadghei Distro ( SG )

Nuclear Power Genocide-Devastation of the Future 7"

Nuclear Power Genocide is a new band formed by members of Paranoid and Absolut. Both bands need no introduction since they are/were around long time ago and offered us some great raw tunes. Back in 2015 they released Jawbreaking Mangel Devastation split (2x7" and 12") and toured together in 2016, now they join forces, two members of the now defunct Absolut (Chris on vocal duties and Joel on guitar) and two from Paranoid (Jocke on bass and Emil on drums) formed Nuclear Power Genocide and recorded four tracks for an upcoming 7" titled Devastation of the Future. The recording took much time (between July 2017 & April 2018), mixed by Nayr Tunndra & Joel from Absolut, mastered by Kenko at Communichaos Media Clay Station and sleeve artwork was created by Jacky Crustwar. Wow!
The record will come out in March on D takt & Råpunk in Europe and self-released in North America. As a first taste of the upcoming storm, two songs are available for streaming in bandcamp and yes its a little monster of kängpunk, this is exactly what these bands could produce together, a raw punk attack at its finest, brutal, fast and relentless and crashing everything that stands on its way. The tracks remind very slightly of Absolut since vocals and guitar come from them.
Bass and drums recorded by Jocke D-Takt at Studio Mangel  guitars and vocals recorded by Nayr Tunndra and Joel Militia at Hell’s Highest Studio. for pre-orders there are mail addresses on bandcamp.

Despair-Visions of the Inferno LP

Get ready for some absolut Discharge worship now: Despair were a rather  short lived D-beat band from Vancouver British Columbia, Canada, the band was formed in 2015 by members of  Decontrol, Total War, Dodsfalla, Genogeist, Dead Hunt and Suss-Law and  they released a 9 track demo tape in 100 copies, the demo was sold quickly and its hard to find a copy now, then we had to wait three year until this belter came out:
Visions Of The Inferno is the one and only official release of Despair, it was released in 2018 by Brain Damage in 500 copies, 350 black and 150 blue vinyls, it was mastered by Kenko (No Security, Dischange, Meanwhile etc) at Communichaos Clay Station and comes in old school artwork reminding of the old Discharge releases and the music is exactly the same: The record consists of eight tracks that last eighteen minutes and deliver old school D-beat coming straight from the days of Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing and Never Again: Old school guitar sound, followed by muffled bass lines and a singer who tries to sing like Cal. Its obvious the band got into the studio just to bring this old spirit,  they managed to capture the vibe and delivered the goods.
All and all, Despair was a band formed by some guys who got together and wanted to bring something that sounds like the old Discharge records and the result is truly amazing. Visions of the Inferno is still available from several distros around the globe (Profane Existence, Sorry State, Soaps ans Spikes, Puke n Vomit etc etc). There is not any official site of the band, members continue in other bands.

Unfair-Industrial collapse (tape)

D-beat from Kingston, Ontario, Canada: Industrial collapse  is the second release of D-beaters Unfair, right after the Holy Weapon of Peace earlier this year. There is not any information about the band, not any site, fb etc. Both of their releases came out in 2018 as cassettes on Portland based Go! Records. Industrial collapse comes in white tapes, brown covers and consists of six tracks and nearly nine minutes of old school D-beat punk. This sounds like a  blending of Discharge and Doom and could have been recorded back in early-mid '80's. Good shit! Cassette is available from Go! Records, also available for streaming in bandcamp

Last Agony-Demo 2018

Last Agony is a raw punk band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, including members of Absolut and IDNS, they were formed in 2017 right after Absolut called it a day and soon a three track demo preview was uploaded in bandcamp in June '17. This is their second demo, it consists of five songs, it lasts nearly six minutes and delivers frantic and chaotic raw punk, similar to Decade's recordings (the other band that was formed after the end of Absolut): A hellish sonic landscape with hyper fast D-beat pace, over-distorted guitars and bass and reverbed cacophonous shouts. A raw punk chaos. Curently only in digital format in bandcamp.

Zymotic-8 Tracks demo

Another great noise punk band from Montreal, Québec, Canada: Zymotic includes people involved in bands such as  Mueco, Parasyte, Blockade and Project GBG. 8 Tracks demo comes in caseette format and delivers noisy and destructive crashercrust bringing the Disclose and Framtid  guitar sound and riffs and also heavily influenced by the noise of Osaka's bands such as Zyanose and Defector and even Collapse Society, This is good and delivers the (noisy) goods and as Sorry State says "The production style of crasher crust can serve as a crutch for weak bands to hide behind, but that’s not the case here.". Two songs are available in bandcamp for your listening pleasure. 8 Tracks demo is currently available in several distros (Soap and Spikes, Sory State, Revenge Records etc etc, )

Starvation-5 track demo tape

D-beat and raw punk  thrive in Canada since new bands pop up all the time: From Napalm Raid, Life Chain and Absolut to Lanquid, Parasytes, Decade, Last Agony, Fragment, Project GBG,etc etc. Starvation is the next in the list of great noise making punks, they come from Vancouver, British Columbia and this is their 5 track cassette demo: Distorted guitar and bass, D-beat drums and rough, brutal vocals in reverb and echo. This is raw, crushing and powerful D-beat punk at its finest, the only problem is its running time since lasts less than six minutes. Not any info on the web about the band, only a bandcamp page. The cassette soon available from Soaps and Spikes

Decade-Demo (tape)

Decade come from Toronto, Canada, they are one of the bands that were born after the demise of Absolut (and Crotchmutt), the other new band is Last Agony, this demo is their first recorded material and was released on tape by Runstate Tapes. The cassette consists of six tracks and nearly eleven minutes of distorted and chaotic D-beat raw punk: The chaos begins after a one minute intro of indtrustrial sounds as the band kicks in with guitar and bass distortion to the maximum level, the usual D-beat drum attack and incomprehensible vocals drown in reverb and echo as much as can get. Everything stands well in the mix and completes a solid and raw sound of ear tormenting punk attack. The cassette is still availabe from Runstate Tapes (and probably elsewhere). And for vinyl lovers, Rawmantic Disasters will release it on seven iches.

Zygome-Demo 2018

This is heavy stenchcore crust from Halifax  Nova Scotia, Canada, the band includes members from Contagium, Fragment, Imbolix, Outcry and others, considering this fact its hard to expect something bad: The demo was released by Runstate Tapes in cassette format in 100 copies, included sticker and lyrics. Metal edged riffs and ungry shouted vocals in four tracks and ten minutes of  old school metallic heavy crust that reeks infernal stench from the depths of '80's (Deviated Instinct, Axegrinder), no surpsise this is already sold out, Currently available only in bandcamp, Soap and Spikes Revenge Rec.s and probably elsewhere.

Caustix-Total Noise War tape 2015

Now this is really good piece of D-beat: Caustix hail from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, they deliver D-beat raw punk,  i searched the web but i didnd't find any info about them, just some gigs they played in. Total Noise War is their debut release which came out in 2015 in 50 copies. Cassette's running time i short, the noise attack has complete the ear mayhem after 6:20", the first song is a little slower as a kind of intro to the upcoming sonic inferno. The rest  three tracks are a hell of noise.and deliver the goods. There's nothing to complain here, the distorted guitar sound, the echo-ed vocals, the bass lines and pummeling D-beat drumming, all create an aggressive and solid piece of raw punk. This stands equal to some well known names. Total Noise War came out in 50 copies on randomly coloured cassettes and is available in bandcamp

Doom Forever consists of four tracks of metal punk with black metal and death metal influences and brutal deep low vocals. This is rather in the crust punk side of things than the metal territiry. Brett (guit) from the band said this came out as seven inch vinyl but i can't dig it anyway on internet,  anyway you can isten it in bandcamp and enjoy the brutaity

Disaxis-Life ep

Disaxis is one of the few bands who have myspace page during 2016, instead farcebook or ReverbNation or blog or whatever. Oh come one man! get rid off this impractical crappy shit! (ok ok there is a tumbrl page, here) The band is one man project from St Thomas, Ontario, Canada and this is the debute recording, released in autumn of 2015. Life consists of seven tracks of D-beat with sick black metal-ish vocals and the simplicity of music reminiscent of greek D-beaters Doomed Again with the addition of a few crust parts in guitar riffs here and there. The prons of Life are the guitar riffs, the decent sound and some nice lyrics, the cons are the lack of variety in singing and drum beat since all songs walk in simillar pace but what the hell, repetitiveness is the main accusation against such bands so just ignore the cons.. Anyway this is good effort and hope to hear more from that guy, Life is available in bandcmp along with the lyrics.
