Wet winter likely as speculation over La Nina and a negative IOD mounts

It is looking more and more likely that Australia could be in for a wet few months going into winter.

Australia could see another cyclone in its waters over the next week, with a weak low currently over the Banda Sea, well to the north of the Western Australia coastline.  The likelihood of this system intensifying increases over the weekend with a number of models indicating this will be the case.
