    I CAN’t forget the scared face of 70 year old Sadhu Kalpavriksh Guru and how he held on to the cop’s hand. I had a lot of faith in Maharashtra police. NEVER thought I would see a day when I would see a cop lead a 70 year old man and hand him over to a mob!

    The religious angle is in systematically demonising saffron and calumnising Hindu monks. It has become a fashion to vilify Hindu religion and their Sadhus. With bhakt and gaumutra made mainstream retorts and Hindutva used as a cussword this was waiting to happen

    Palghar lynching is horrific and needs to be investigated. The role of police is suspicious too.But there is no communal angle. Those who are trying to add it are deliberately instigating a section of society.

    Just saw the full horror of . Earlier version gave a different picture. This isnt as if cops were unable to control the mob, they made no attempt at all. They were indifferent. One of them actually brought the Sadhus and left them at the mercy of crowd. Abetment

    The Sadhus had a name. A few media that do appear don't have their names like Akhlaq. Sadhu Kalpvriksh Giri Age 70 Yrs & Sadhu Sushil Giri Age 35 Yrs. Imagine if some Maulvis would have faced same situation. Heart wrenching.

    I can't watch the video from Palghar. Those frail sadhus clinging to the police man's hand while being pushed in to the crowd. I couldn't watch beyond 15 secs. This is terrible.
