    To all queries on Trials Vs Manufacturing: Typically, a trial & manufacturing for a new vaccine happens parallely. If trial succeeds, vaccine is allowed to sold. If they don't, it's a loss to the manufacturers. In all, vaccine development is a high risk, high reward mechanism.

    The Asian Development Bank has sanctioned 1.5 Billion USD (around 11,300 crores) loan to India. This amount will be used for helping the Govt in the PM Garib Kalyan Package worth 1.7 Lakh Crores and in the Health strengthening package worth 15000 Crores.

    Guess how much has ICMR paid for these kits till now? ZERO rupee! The kits were not upto the quality standards and ICMR has not made any payment. Same can be attested from the court judgement. So essentially, the GoI has not lost even a single rupee.

    That any human being would try & profiteer from the immeasurable suffering of millions of his brothers & sisters, is beyond belief & comprehension. This scam is an insult to every Indian. I urge the PM to act swiftly to bring the corrupt to justice.

    How growth of cases is reduced but total no. increases? R0 - Rate of Spread (Its a multiplier, basically) Ex: R0 = 2 Day 1: 10 Case Day 2: 10 * 2(R0) = 20 Cases Day 3: 20 * 2 = 40 Cases Imagine what happens after 50 days. Only way is to reduce R0 & that's what India is doing.

    When the lockdown started, the case doubling rate was 3 days. Today, it is around 13 days. Without lockdown, the no. of cases would have been higher by 44 times - hovering the total to 10 lakh+. There might have been few ups & downs but India has really pulled this one together!
