Interview and discussion with Berlin based Die Linke (left party) activist Sibylle Kaczorek about the rise of the far right in Germany. A gunman killed 9 people in the city of Hanau on February 19 before murdering his mother and killing himself, leaving a neo nazi manifesto behind. In response there has been a huge wave of protests and vigils across Germany speaking out against the rise of the far right AFD party in recent years and the associated proliferation of racist and fascist ideology which underpins such violent hate crimes. Interview and discussion with a member of the Indian community in Melbourne who is a expat from New Dehli Gisella Ali about the violent racist protests against Muslims that have being occuring in New Dehli over the last couple of days. Following a visit from Donald Trump to sell arms to the far-right BJP government of Narendra Modi. Hindu nationalist mobs have attacked Muslim traders and residents and torched Mosques, killing at least 35 people and injuring hundreds more. Listen to the interview here.
