    Great news! is now affiliated to - the Nation's Armoured Reserve Regiment who operate the Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank in support of the Armoured Regiments of the Army's Reaction Force.

    Kicking off our Virtual Study Day on UAVs today with a great talk on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict from Dr . Thanks! Over the rest of today we'll be looking at other aspects of how UAVs alter the Armoured operating context - and what we should be doing about it!

    The Earl also spoke to the , who have been visited in previous years in the UK and overseas by HRH, as their Honorary Royal Colonel, about their plans for 2021. 📸 After months of lockdown, the Regiment has been able to get back to their essential tank training.

    However, is also about recognising that the fight for gender equality is not over. Until it is, we outdated attitudes - this Regiment is for everyone, and we're not afraid to fight prejudice. Loyalty to each other and our values demands nothing less.

    This we're celebrating the incredible women who serve in the Wessex Yeomanry. Tank drivers, junior leaders, Army and national level sport - our women do it all. And they do it all alongside their civilian lives. Truly ! 1/2

    Having completed the Challenger 2 tank commander’s course last year, one of our young officers is currently attached to the Queen’s Royal Hussars, as part of the year-long ‘Lead First’ scheme. This was taken whilst on exercise out on Salisbury Plain, back in January.

    A perfect example of your Reserve career flexing to complement your civvy job - one of our own is attached to an 🇦🇺🇦🇺 Reserve unit while out there for work!

    See the guy in the sandy coloured suit? His civvy job took him off to Australia for a few years, not long after graduation. Didn’t mean he stopped serving with the , we just got him posted to his local reserve Squadron while he’s out there.
