    Taunton’s Gateway park & ride will open tomorrow (Thursday) for the first time since travellers occupied the site last Friday. It was cleaned up this afternoon (after these photos were taken) and will open at 5am.

    A very happy 30th birthday to ! The station and staff gave me a wonderful six years of my career. BBC Local Radio is absolutely crucial, particularly in a county like Somerset. Here's to another 30 years!

    Chap from the company tasked with cleaning Taunton’s Gateway Park & Ride, after six days of travellers being on site, tells me it’s the “worst I’ve ever seen it” ahead of a clean-up.

    Travellers have now left Taunton’s Gateway park & ride - after being there since 6th April. It will remain closed for now to be cleaned. More on at 6pm.

    A survivor of the Basel Air Disaster has told how he saved seven people including his own mother. 108 people were killed in the crash 45 years ago. David Besley from Axbridge in says he is still mentally scarred. More here:
