Some complaints about hoarding and overcharging for medicines & essential items are doing rounds. This is a moment of crisis & cooperation is the only way ahead. I urge all not to indulge in panic buying. At the same time, none should try to hoard or inflate prices.

As a measure to contain spread of covid-19 outbreak, Delhi Govt has decided to continue only essential government services for a while. All non-essential work, conferences, trainings, etc stand suspended for social distancing.

Mandatory thermal screening at Public Places eg Malls, Courts, offices, Hotels, Hospitals, Residential Complexes, etc. Public Transport systems to deploy all precautionary measures and continue frequent disinfection.

Decided to intensify Public awareness for home quarantine & its enforcement through stamping/ legal actions, encourage work from home & minimise unnecessary travel. Vulnerable people especially employees with 55+ ages to take extra precautions.

Suspension of all non essential services of government till further orders. Advised for mapping of all health facilities including private sector and to have plan to ramp them up.

All restaurants and eateries to remain closed except delivery and takeaways. Provision of mobile vans with essential commodities of daily use and essential medical items at various residential areas being explored.

Meeting with Hon’ble CM and senior officers to be held tomorrow to review the status and take further measures.

Discussed measures to contain Covid-19 outbreak with Hon’ble CM, Delhi @ArvindKejriwal. Deliberated social distancing measures which can be encouraged in government offices, public transport, public places & in general. #IndiaFightsCorona
