If Labor really wants to win marriage equality then my suggestion is they build and lead a mass, radical, civil rights campaign rather than playing parliamentary games. Mass movements move society. Politicians respond, not lead, on issues like this.

I wrote this back in May for Independent Australia. It contains some of those pesky things called facts that rebut the Morrison lies about the taxed and the not taxed. Why not tax the rich instead of screwing the less well off?

To me the Australian police raids on Senator Conroy and his staff look very much like a gross abuse of process and an attempt to undermine democracy and one of its outlets, parliamentary privilege. They are also I suspect an attempt to silence any future whistleblowers who might reveal inconvenient truths about this or other governments. The time has come for all decent thinking people to unite and take real action to shut down the puppets of hate and fear and their political masters in the Government and Opposition.
