    The survey by found none of the 8 companies accessed were performing adequately in avoiding “conflict palm oil” i.e palm oil that leads to deforestation and violates land rights of Indigenous Peoples

    Some of the biggest brands promised to phase out deforestation for palm oil by 2020 [SPOILER ALERT] It doesn't look like they're going to make it....

    304 murders in 2019 for defending land & indigenous rights according to global report

    In 2019, 304 HRDs in 31 countries were targeted and killed for their work according to data collected by Front Line Defenders. 40% of those killed worked on land, indigenous peoples and environmental rights.
