  1. Well done , I know how much work you’ve put into it

  2. I have tried for years to make receipt of farm payments a registrable financial interest for MPs. Other outside income has to be declared, why not these? Loads of farmers in Commons with a vested interest in what they’re voting on.

Interesting thread. Many who suddenly worry about rape prosecutions never uttered a squeak about it before leadership elections! Feminism is for life not just for leadership elections (nb sudden converts to need for woman leader!)

Not in our backyard . . . oh , hold on , we’ll finance it in other peoples . The scale of UK fossil fuel support is 'staggering' & so is the cost ! One planet , one problem , one species with one last chance to sort it out . . . let’s shut this thing down

The Government’s efforts to reach climate targets here in the UK count for virtually nothing if they’re spending £billions of UK taxpayers money on funding fossil fuel projects around the world, locking other countries into high carbon dependency for decades to come.

An investigation by & has shown the UK spends billions funding fossilfuels around the world, generating 69m tonnes of C02 - more than the state of Portugal describes it as "ludicrous"

Remember when Bill Clinton spoke at labour conference and his first words were “conference, Bill Clinton, Arkansas South CLP” and we all passed out with the lols. Those were the days.

📺 WATCH: As Bristol's only non-vegan MP(!), I welcome the positive impact has on our national debate around food. It's vital that we work to make healthy food more affordable and change our eating habits and farming practices to make them more sustainable.

A really good summary from Rob - and welcome to ! (My understanding of his LGBT+ response was that he wants the UK to do more to support people in countries with oppressive laws, thinks we have a moral responsibility to do so).

Great meeting, thanks to the hundreds of people who turned out to hear . Before this we took him to see our new biogas buses, powered, somewhat bizarrely, by food waste from Croydon - he took to bus driving like a natural, and there’s a job there if he wants one!
