I am trying to be different in promoting my book and not be annoying about it. So today, I'm posting part of the original book proposal to give more of a sense of what the book is about and what convinced to take a shot. Pre-order link.

weird warner bros HQ is now 39.1 degrees celsius, 92% relative humidity, an atmospheric pressure of approximately 102 kPa, and somehow has trace amounts of tetryon particles

I haven't seen senior royalty randomly step back from responsibilities like this since Grand Nagus Zek decided to retire and go to Risa.

This is the time of year when I start looking out the window every day and I go, “Wow, we are still doing the getting dark at 4.30 thing, huh?”

Geordi, IMO, was the most empathetic member of the TNG crew, other than Troi IMO. One time he was written very poorly was the episode where they find Scotty alive at the Dyson Sphere. He was such a jerk that episode.

I am dialing into a big conference room meeting and thinking about being that guy who doesn’t mute his phone just because I like to watch the world burn.

the episode ends with the guy committing suicide and seven feeling guilty about it. it's a yikes ending. it is one of the few trek episodes, i think, of any franchise, that would not hold up well today.

oof an episode of star trek voyager i recently watched has not aged well. seven of nine believes she was drugged and assaulted by a creepy weapons trader. much of the crew, except the doctor, thinks she hallucinated or made it up. the episode's ending is that they were right.

i have definitely used the term before, but if there's one term i wish we could excise from sports discussions: it's calling professional athletes injury-prone. it's pejorative and arbitrary! that's my 2020 TED talk.
