Extremely surprising and beyond any reasonable logic. How a party which thrived on opinion polls and had no problem for decades, even as recent till Maharashtra and Haryana polls, is today looking for non-existant clauses in Model Code of Conduct !https://twitter.com/M_Lekhi/status/1214192773710016512 …

I neither endorse opinion polls nor have ever favoured such polls, but how can an MP raise frivolous queries on an exercise legitimately allowed in the Representation of People's Act and Model Code of Conduct ??

The BJP complaint was made with the sole intention of intimidating the media against publishing an opinion poll which showed its decimation in Delhi.

My Q for the media : Would they have blacked out an opinion poll like they have done today, had it been in favour of the BJP ? Level playing field rules must be equal for all ! Intimidation cannot substitute legitimate action !!

New & Small parties have been consistently at the receiving end of such polls and their demand for banning these polls immediately after the declaration of elections has been ignored. Why this special treatment to the BJP ? It has all the might - what is it afraid of ??
