Based out of Mobile, Alabama, rapper Yung Bleu (born Jeremy Biddle, 1994) got into the game in the early 2010s after watching his brother interact with local hip-hop circles. Though rapping since he was 11, he first entered the public arena with self-released mixtapes like 2013's Hello World before eventually becoming involved with Young Boss Entertainment, who worked with the young artist on releasing some early tracks. Over the next few years, Yung Bleu produced a series of mixtapes, Investments, Investments 2, and Investments 3, each expanding on his dark, ominous style and increasingly intricate flows. The rapper eventually developed a working relationship with Boosie Badazz, collaborating with him on several tracks and landing a deal with Boosie's Columbia Records-affiliated imprint, Badazz Music Syndicate.

Cub Sport is an independent Australian alt-pop group from Brisbane, Queensland. The band is composed of vocalist Tim Nelson, keyboardist/guitarist/vocalist Zoe Davis, keyboardist/vocalist Sam "Bolan" Netterfield and drummer Dan Puusaari. To date, the band has released three EPs and three studio albums.

Billboard ranked it as the No. 23 song for 1976. As part of the "Hot Tracks (EP)" it also reached No. 41 in the UK in 1977. Nazareth's version was an international hit, peaking at No. 1 in Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, South Africa and Norway, and remains the best-known recording of the song. The Nazareth single was so successful in Norway that it charted for 61 weeks on the Norwegian charts (VG-lista Top 10), including 14 weeks at No. 1, making it the top single of all time in that country.

Johannes Bernardus van Bree (29 January 1801 – 14 February 1857) was a Dutch composer, violinist and conductor.

Van Bree was born and died in Amsterdam. He was a pupil of Jan George Bertelman.

From 1829 to the year of his death he directed the Felix Meritis Society. He was also the director of the Music School of the Society of the Promotion of Music, Amsterdam.

As a conductor he gave the Dutch premieres of Berlioz' Symphonie fantastique (in 1855) and Richard Wagner's Faust Overture (1856).

Felix Mendelssohn's Octet in E-flat major, Op. 20, was composed in the autumn of 1825 and completed on October 15, when the composer was 16. He wrote the octet as a birthday gift for his friend and violin teacher Eduard Ritz; it was slightly revised in 1832 before the first public performance on 30 January 1836 at the Leipzig Gewandhaus. Conrad Wilson summarizes much of its reception ever since: "Its youthful verve, brilliance and perfection make it one of the miracles of nineteenth-century music."

PeroxideSinger and songwriter Nina Nesbitt's mixture of pop-inspired melodies, part-acoustic instrumentation, and yearning relationship angst saw her cast as the female counterpart to Ed Sheeran when she was invited to open shows for him as a teen. However, Nesbitt carved out her own identity and had a U.K. hit with "Stay Out" before landing just outside of the Top Ten with her full-length debut, 2014's Peroxide. She has also written songs for artists such as Jessie Ware and Olivia Holt.

Her debut for Cooking Vinyl was 2018's Somebody Special EP. Its title song landed in Ireland's Top 100 and received official remixes by Leon Lour and R3hab. At the end of the year, Nesbitt's version of "Oh Holy Night" charted in Sweden. She toured in support of Rudimental in early 2019 before embarking on a headlining tour of the U.S. In the meantime, Cooking Vinyl released her second long-player, The Sun Will Come Up, the Seasons Will Change, that February. Debuting just outside the Top 20 in the U.K., it featured production by Nesbitt, Fraser T. Smith (Adele, Gorillaz), Lostboy (Anne-Marie), and Jordan Riley (Dakota, Dan Caplen).

Popcaan alias Andrae Hugh Sutherland ist einer der bekanntesten Dancehall-Künstler weltweit. Spätestens seit seinem internationalen Durchbruch 2014 verkauft er Konzerthallen in aller Welt aus.

2014 veröffentlichte Popcaan sein Debütalbum "Where We Come From", das ihm zu internationalem Ruhm verhalf. Seitdem tourt Popcaan als Solokünstler durch die Welt und arbeitet mit internationalen Stars wie Drake, Wale und Gorillaz zusammen.

Chicago rapper Vic Mensa took a sharp left turn toward raucous rock music with the formation of his 93PUNX project. Introducing the band with a series of blink-182 drummer Travis Barker on the raging track "3 Years Sober."

In late 2018, Mensa stated in interviews that he had been working on new music with legendary Bad Brains frontman H.R. that fused trap drums and energetic punk instrumentation. Early the next year, he shared a faithful cover of the Cranberries '90s anti-war anthem "Zombie"; it was the first music from his unexpectedly rocking new project entitled 93PUNX. He worked toward a full album, which was slated to include contributions from Good Charlotte's Joel Madden, H.R., and Travis Barker. The project's next single was the deceptively light "Camp America," a song that addressed the internment camps set up for immigrants along the U.S. border. Barker showed up on next single, the blazing "3 Years Sober," in July of 2019.

County Durham, England native Karen Harding, a singer and songwriter inspired by Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Jazmine Sullivan, among several others she has noted, competed in series 10 of The X Factor. She advanced through auditions into the boot camp round but was dismissed through a "musical chairs"-like twist that didn't go down well with the viewing public. The Capitol-affiliated Method label, home to Sam Smith, snapped her up, and she collaborated with producer MNEK on the emotive house track "Say Something," her first single. The track was released in November 2014 as the lead single from her debut album.

Playing glossy contemporary pop with a romantic spirit, Nightly is the brainchild of Joey Beretta and Jonathan Capeci, cousins who began making music together before they were old enough to drive. Beretta and Capeci grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and came from households filled with music. When Beretta was 13 and Capeci was 14, they bought matching electric guitars and formed a band; the pair played in a variety of combos around Philadelphia and New Jersey, and while they set music aside when they went off to college, within two years they'd both dropped out and headed to Nashville, Tennessee in hopes of making a career out of music. For several years, they played together in a band called Dinner and a Suit, who toured extensively (including several dates on the Vans Warped Tour) and released an album and an EP before breaking up near the end of 2015. In 2016, Beretta and Capeci launched a new project, Nightly, taking the name from a texting abbreviation for "Goodnight, Love You." Beretta and Capeci penned a breakup song called "XO," and after recording the tune they posted it online. To their surprise, the track began racking up hundreds of thousands of plays as well as receiving radio airplay in Nashville, and Nightly was suddenly a hot property. After playing a series of showcases, the band struck a deal with Interscope Records, which released a four-song EP, Honest, in October 2016. The group toured hard in support, sharing stages with the likes of Ke$ha, the All-American Rejects, and the Struts. In February 2018, Nightly dropped a new single, "Miss You Like Hell," while they were touring with rapper NF.
