“The crime is very obvious to everybody” is why Ahmaud Arbery, Trayvon Martin, and so many others have been killed.

Y-Wing. That’s really all you need to know. If you don’t follow me for my occasional Y-Wing love then you may as well quit me now.

If anyone is arrested? So, he’s encouraged/forced his employees to break the safety guidelines and that’s above risking their health during a pandemic. I understand why he has admirers but this sort of behaviour is reprehensible.

“Far Beyond The Stars” is one of the best episodes of Star Trek. Any Star Trek. It could only land by all of the work all the shows has done before it. And, still, ultimately, it’s all a dream meta-fiction. I really enjoyed this podcast episode and I suspect you might too.

Capture that bird and eat it for dinner. The child should become best friends with the dogs and they will grow up to solve crimes together. Problem solved, neighbour.

This very short thread is about the origin of the NS prefix for many classes vended by Apple frameworks today but reading this book will make you a far better programmer with a greater grasp of how things work and how far we’ve come.

Why only just this morning my five year old asked me "Daddy, how can Boris Johnson say the alert level is equal to R + N infected when R0 = β/γ and d(S/N)/dt = βSI/N²?"

🇨🇦 I mean... he didn’t just stop there. If you’ve seen any of his stuff you’re probably carrying that around in your dreamscape and I’m sorry.

I’m sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller, passed away from natural causes. He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years. He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad.

Call me crazy but listening to Elon Musk on the Joe Rogan podcast is the intellectual equivalent of just injecting bleach right into your brain. It’ll definitely take those dystopian nightmares you’ve been having away but, hey, may not go the way you’d hope.

“Among his opening acts were the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, then at the start of their careers. He went on to tour relentlessly in the United States, with a band that at one time included Jimi Hendrix on guitar.” 🎼🎹🎸🎤

I served soul food brunch to Little Richard every Sunday for a year while waitressing at Aunt Kizzy’s Back Porch in LA. I was a college student. He tipped me a crisp $100 bill each week on a $75 breakfast with friends. This was 30 years ago. Helped me so much. God rest his soul.

If you import compiled 3rd party framework code from FB, Google, or whoever, keep in mind they typically like to install their monitoring hooks as soon as they're loaded into memory--even if you don't call them directly

Wouldn't quite call it "hidden code", but one can determine if a compiled framework is calling code on module load with the following Mach-O sections...

Filed under shocking but no longer surprising. The US mission to the UN has blocked a Security Council resolution calling for a global ceasefire during the pandemic. US opposed any mention of WHO, so it was changed to "specialized health agencies" of the UN. US still opposed.
