    No, sorry, I just cannot do it. Try as hard as I might, I simply cannot visualise Julia Gillard or Bill Shorten (or K Rudd) hanging out on a beach on Waikiki during such a catastrophic national emergency. Nor can I imagine our msm giving any of them a free pass if they dared.

    So Australia’s all time national hottest day record didn’t get broken yesterday, it got smashed. Tuesday at 40.9C broke previous record by 0.6C. But Wednesday 18 December upped it another full 1C to 41.9C. Mind-boggling that old record has been upped 1.6C in 2 days.
