Dog On A Rope/Sanctus Iuda split 7"

The last record in Dog On A Rope series. I'm not sure, but I think that's all that these nice folks released.
Anyway, here they share split 7" with Polish Sanctus Iuda (one of my favourite Polish bands from the 90s). Here they covered DOAR song with changed lyrics to fit their local i
nsane wanker.
I guess this record is a result of their Polish tour that ended tragically for the band when their stand in bassist Dave Roberts was found dead with his throat cut. The local police tried to say that it was suicide. That's a bit strange way to commit suicide, don't you think?
P.S. Severed heads on the cover are from John Tyndall of the British National Party and Bolek Tejkowski of
the Polish National Party.

Dog On A Rope "Rope Rage" 7"

Dog On A Rope again.
Decided to put all of their stuff here, so here it goes.
This is their second 7" and I've always loved the way that
the singer sings Teacher Cop - it sounds a lot like he's saying cunt in Croatian. Great!
This post is for Durruti of
Old Punks Never Die! blog.

Released: 1996
Label: Whisper! Records

Dog On A Rope "Yob Culture" 7"

Their first 7". I'm not sure if this is correct track order because on the record there's no A and B side, but happy and angry side, so I've looked on the pressing plant cutting on the vinyl.
The songs about getting giro money and Ian Stuart Donaldson getting killed are on happy side, but you guessed that already.

Released: 1995
Label: self-released

02. Skrewydriver
03. Yob Culture

Dog On A Rope "Spike"

Today I was remembering some stuff from the club where I used to work (now defunct "Attack") and in my head I was going through some gigs that happened there. When I remembered Dog On A Rope I could say that that one was one of the best ones. Not for being the best band, but for being great people and having great fun and communication with the people in the club even during the gig. And the singer had the same St. Pauli t-shirt as me. Nice fashion taste I'd say.
This is the only LP by this singalong anarcho punks from Leeds. I'm not sure, but I think the year was 1998 and that the label is theirs. They also had two 7"s and a split 7" with Sanctus Iuda from Poland. They'll pop up here too eventually.
I think that they're not playing anymore. Here's their
homepage (not updated since 2003).
