Lots of tweets mention the hopeful demise of Rupert Murdoch from News Ltd or from life. But be careful what you wish for. News Ltd operations in AU are run by Lachlan Murdoch who is reported to be much more right wing than his father. Lachlan is very friendly with Liberal Party.

When I see a journo say to the PM or a minister at an i'v, "I think you're lying", then I'll believe media are trying.

If you haven't yet, pls read Laura Tingle's article on ABS website. She exposes just what Morrison is trying to do. People think public servants are bludgers, so PM can downsize depts and use his own advisers. Problem is, public servants know secrets, leak to media, damage govt.

I saw the Oz at library. Pages of hubris. Morrison has gone full Trump, appointing mates as Dept secretaries, putting together his leadership team to take us to the Promised Land. Sounds great, but it will be for nought when economic downturn arrives and the floor collapses.

Recent & current bushfires & more coming this summer are a perfect opportunity for to make a . Real PMs do this when there is a national emergency of some kind. The space for Labor to do this is vacant as our faux PM hides from the public on this issue.

To the male reporter who asked Nancy Pelosi if she 'hated' Trump, you now know what it's like to be whipped!

Has anyone ever heard of Apple having a sale? I haven't. But a friend who follows such things told me Apple is having a sale shortly. If true, Morrison govt should be very worried. It means retail is in big trouble.

Sunday, Govt announced that 'anti foreign interference' unit would be set up & allocated $88 million to do it. Interesting. Last week, on ABC radio very senior ex spook (missed his name) said that such a unit was created early this year but govt wouldn't fund it with staff. FFS.

GDP figures out on Wed, retail sales figures out Thursday. Neither figure is expected to show that economy is other than flatlining. Morrison govt playing with fire with their lack of action on stimulus. We all will pay if a severe economic downturn occurs.

Morrison's belligerence in Parl last week has given Labor a weapon to keep him unbalanced. As a lightweight, Morrison can't think on his feet, Labor can easily antagonise him from now on about integrity and let the voters see what he's really like.

I think Morrison has done Mick Fuller (and himself) a disservice by ringing him. Fuller now has to ensure that the complaint is investigated thoroughly and that there is no chance that the outcome can be regarded by public as a 'fix'. No favours will be possible.

Morrison playing straight from the Trump playbook with Angus Taylor. Calls police commissioner, no details made public, comes to Parl and says, "no action required". This is a Trump tactic, "nothing to see here". We'd rather wait for police report thanks PM.

If Morrison isn't in enough trouble so far this week, wait until the Sept Qtr national accounts come out next week. Likely to show economy flatlining, GDP growth poor, wages frozen, consumer spending well below expectations. If US falters, we're in a recession.

i'm having a break from this awful platform for next week or so - many Xmas functions to attend as we enter the silly season. Most are with community organisations in which my wife and I are heavily involved. Cheers!
