    It's widely believed that 'Dandakaranya' is the forest in Bastar. Kaushalya devi came from Chhattisgarh which was known as south Koshal& there is a tribal community in Chhattisgarh that puts tattoos of 'Ram nam' all over their bodies. Ram is all pervading in Chhattisgarh.
