I might alienate some people by saying this. I have mates that voted to leave the EU and I respect your choice but I honestly didn’t think that we would be facing the prospect of a no deal and shortage of medicines. Two of my mates have already been told that they cant have a three months of medicines which they normally get. I’m on two meds that literally are preventing me from having a heart attack or a stroke, and know of other people who have more serious conditions that might be in the same boat. I’m terrified at the thought of not being able to get them, and I really believe that no one in their right mind voted leave thinking that this would be the outcome.

No one trust’s the government to fairly and effectively organise the distribution of food and medicines in the chaotic week’s after Brexit.
Recent crises such as the aftermath of Grenfell, recent floods have shown that it is volunteers and local community groups who fill the void left by government incompetence. At Grenfell the situation was described as similar to actions in Kropotkin’s Mutual Aid.
The opportunity afforded by the post Brexit government inertia will be far greater
Anarchists need to set up local FOOD DISTRIBUTION GROUPS to ensure the fair distribution of food and medicines. We need to wrench this process away from government. Initially these FDGs will be area based but later street by street and working co-operatively to ensure equality of food supplies.
The FDGs will also act as the mechanism by which STOCKPILING BY THE RICH will be reported and acted upon. As people said in WW2 ‘we don’t mind the hardship as long as its fairly distributed’.
Indeed ww2 offers us a good example of working class spirit with a clear moral sense of ‘ them and us’.
Bread queues were often cited by the Bolsheviks and anarchists as the prelude to revolution – we need to start thinking the same way now.
We need to et up local FDGs now so they are in place from the start.

he political line in the coming maelstrom of Brexit events is now clear:
We must support the speaker John Bercow’s defence of parliament against Boris Johnson’s attempt to pro-rogue it and force through a no deal Brexit in its absence. Allied to this should be the arrest of Johnson for treason in his attempt to by-pass the queen’s government. Treason can only be against the crown. The arrest of Bercow and Cummings should be carries out by the mass march on October 12th.
There are many similarities with Speaker Lenthall’s defence of parliament against Charles 1st. – the king who Johnson aspires to be but the new model army is yet to take to the field.
OCTOBER 12th Arrest JOHNSON and CUMMINGS for treason.
