    Addressing climate changes without actively involving those hardest hit by the changes makes no sense. We have learned from COVID-19 and from years of efforts that local actors are drivers for change, don’t leave them out in the climate agenda

    Donors & UN at should outline specific steps to cascade quality funding to local Syrian NGOs & directly support locally-led civil society networks. 10 years into a crisis in which they are at the frontline, local NGO leadership should the norm, not an afterthought

    isn't it time that took localisation seriously. If more local organisations were supported with financial and other resources they can be much faster in responding. It is time to stop direct implementation everywhere.

    The horrific violence in and elsewhere in Northern has lead to a humanitarian crisis. has done assessments, can deploy relief and experts and is ready to scale up help, but we are waiting for visas.

    The standby with UN agencies creates incentives to keep sending in expensive international experts to solve local problems. It is time to fund and maintain local capacities. It is time to de-colonise humanitarian aid.

    Agree over years we have built up this huge surge system which relies only on expensive international expertise to solve local problems instead of investing in local actors who can support their own communities.

    Immediate support is needed before & after 24 hours when disaster occurs. Emergency projects are fine but it cannot meet the demands of that 24 h. Only locals are the option. Do you hesitate shifting power, resources & leadership to the LNNGOs?

    Masquerading as local is a deception if this “change of colour—INGO to LNGO” happens to play both at the int'l & national court for funding & grabbing local leaderships. We don't agree to this willy mechanism for aid colonisation & replacement.
