    This week marks 16 years since Tom Hurndall died. He was shot in the head by a sniper from the Israeli Occupation Forces, assassinated whilst trying to guide Palestinian children to safety in the Gaza strip. Tom was left in a coma and died nine months later on 13 January 2004.

    16 years ago, Tom Hurndall died of his wounds. Tom had been sniper shot in the head by an Israeli sniper as he tried to get a child away from danger. Tom's example was one of the reasons I've later volunteered with , as Tom had done.

    British journalism student and photographer, Tom Hurndall, died on January 13, 2004. His death came nine months after an Israeli sniper shot him in the head as he protected Palestinian refugees from Zionist attacks in Rafah. I will never forget Tom's love and solidarity.
