Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the northern Tasman Sea and a cold front over the southwest of the state is directing warm to hot northwesterly winds across most of New South Wales. The front will continue to move east over the central parts today and the far northeast on Sunday, bringing cooler conditions in its wake. A second high pressure system is then forecast to move across southeastern Australia early next week.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday

Partly cloudy. Medium (40%) chance of gusty showers this afternoon. Snow possible above 1700 metres. The chance of a thunderstorm about the ranges this afternoon. Winds northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h turning westerly 35 to 55 km/h during the morning and early afternoon then decreasing to 25 to 40 km/h in the late evening. Daytime maximum temperatures between 11 and 19.
