Atatiana Jefferson was killed when a Fort Worth police officer shot her through a window of her home. Police were at the property because Jefferson's neighbor called the non-emergency police number to request a welfare check because her front door was open. In body camera video from the incident a shot can be heard after police asked someone inside the home to "put your hands up."
