    "Kashmiriyat" was created in 1970. It is an Urdu word. Nobody heard of the word "Kashmiriyat" prior to that. It was always a misonomer. It never existed in the first place.

    Today Kashmiriyat is a misnomer. Kashmiriyat was dead on 19th January 1990 when Kashmiri Pandits were thrown out of Kashmir at gun point. And Kashmiri Nationalism isn’t the same as Islamic Nationalism. There is a huge difference. I am afraid the author lacks basic understanding.
