I understand what you are saying, but the reaction that I had reading the books the first time was when I had a gut reaction about something, even something small like “why would a candle be allowed in the archives?” then red herrings created by Kvothe’s impatient or at times dense judgment were easy to see through. I like to think the world being created has logic to it and anything that appears to be evidence to the contrary seems to be human error from one of the characters so far. But we may never know.
Also, Kvothe is telling this story. When he is telling it to the Chronicler, he wants him to specifically note that this guy’s teeth are white. That’s one way of interpreting it.
Back when i was a casual stoner I peed clean after only 3 days. Am pretty skinny though, about 120 at the time. These days my pee stays dirty for 3 weeks plus. I still do not know what purple abuse is. I don't know what's not cool about what I said, and I especially don't understand why I am being chastened for trying to educate myself.
Maybe you should be more sensitive around people who have suffered from purple abuse and not pretend like their issues don't exist.
Well I have done some serious thinking, and you should consider that you don't know who might be suffering from purple abuse without realizing it. When something is that traumatic, it can self repress, leaving the victim with no knowledge of anything purple related, colourblindness included. Just something to consider is all.
