Stimulus is the assumed goal of all economic policy, both fiscal and monetary. Demand-side stimulus is the mania bequeathed to us by Keynes, or more accurately by his followers. It is the absurd idea, that an economy prospers by consuming and borrowing instead of producing and saving. Negative interest rates turn everything we know about economics upside down.

If in fact negative interest rates can occur naturally, without central bank or state interventions, then economics textbooks need to be revised on the quick. Every theory of interest contemplates positive interest paid on borrowed capital.

End the Fed.

“The Fed” being the Federal Reserve Bank that has gifted us with something like a 97% loss of purchasing power of the dollar since 1913. That’s a "nine" followed by a "seven." That’s just accepted as normal by the class of scumbags running our country.

But you must take down this institution.

The Fed is the number one, the number two, and the number three enemy of prosperity, capitalism, free markets, individual liberty, and the wealth of people in the world today.

Central banks have to be totally discredited and taken down.^[1]

And:

Recessions don’t happen because the Fed is tightening credit costs for Main Street. That’s the old days. That’s your grandfather’s economy and your grandfather’s Fed. But we’re now in the era of bubble finance. The Fed basically inflates the financial system until it collapses, and then it spills over into the mainstream economy through corporate C-suite panics.^[2]

And a big, official "ho hum" to that, good buddy.

But wait!! There’s more than monetary insanity!! There’s fiscal insanity!!

The short answer is that, objectively, we are already fiscally bankrupt. And by that, I mean the $22 trillion of debt we have today, that’s the rear-view mirror.

That’s what the first 44 presidents in American history have managed to accomplish—including the last two before Trump, who took it from about $4 trillion to $19 trillion.

But Donald Trump is the most reckless, irresponsible president we’ve had since Lyndon Johnson, in terms of fiscal policy.

This guns-and-butter deal for two years that he just signed with the Democrats and the Congress was an abomination. It added $1.7 trillion more to the debt over the next 10 years. It eliminated entirely these spending or sequester caps that we’ve had since 2011.^[3]

This too is considered no big deal. Enormous debt is just as normal and unexceptional as moaning about manspreading and white patriarchy [AKA white perfidy] and swooning over the joys of mass immigration, diversity, abortion, and FGM.

The notions of wise stewardship and salus populi are absurd in the rotten America of our time.

This order of priorities [immigration, internal security, the economy, education, housing, and social policy], eminently rational, confirms what we have known for a long time: that Soviet communism, with its crude Pavlovian methods of control, has been far less corrosive to the health of nations and communities than Western liberalism and internationalism, which rely on the implantation of subliminal messages by Freudian means. I don’t know about the “Freudian means” deal but the rest is good. Liberalism is a full-on attack on every aspect of Western civilization. White Westerners are to be driven from their homes and extinguished in a brown and black wave of third-world primitives. Any pro-white in any liberal/progressive regime can expect nothing but formal and informal attacks on his character, his livelihood, and even his person. The Western political class intend nothing but the destruction of the West. Thank you, Frans. You are the gift that keeps on giving.

All the abiding normality of the past seventy years is slipping away into flux. Modernity is finally yielding – to what? Nobody knows.^[1]

And the natives are restless for good reason. The lessons of the last century about enormous state power have been unlearned or were never absorbed in the first place. In America, all pretence of adherence to the Constitution has been abandoned and in its place is the massive, unaccountable, unrestrained central state the Framers and Ratifiers sought so artfully to prevent. More than a century of horrific, industrial scale warfare and yet more fearsome weapons entering nation state arsenals have not been understood by Western national leaders in even a superficial sense.

Nor have Western elites been such as to inspire confidence. Chief executives and legislatures of most Western nations have often enough come across as obtuse in assessing national interests, actively hostile to their own citizens or indifferent to their needs, psychotically devoted to the needs of minorities, freaks, and foreigners (and primitive foreigners at that), or stunningly reckless in handling spending, debt, and the fundamentals of all that makes for political legitimacy.

It's not so much that modernity might be yielding to something frightful as that decency and rationality have yielded to modernity, the putrid and obscene nature of which gushes down our street, into our schools, into our media, and throughout the culture.

The rotten plutocracy that has commandeered our great civilization is failing at every task that makes for peace, decency, and prosperity. Modernity has become rank stupidity and malevolence.

Sadly, instead of answering deeply penetrating questions from the parliament on how to restore growth, establish a proper budget and energise recovery across the Eurozone, she [Christine Lagarde] blathered on about combating populism and how to address climate change as a macro-economic priority – favoring green bonds in any new asset purchase program. Europe is doomed.^[1]

It's comical in a sick way how Western governments make a big show of "taking action" on certain minor items but fail to address existential threats. U.S., German, France, Sweden, and Britain officials wet their pants at any citizen who dares to criticize open borders and the fable of multiculturalism. But both are destroying Western civilization. Any discussion of that? No fricking way. Look. I've got my fingers in my ears. I can't hear you!

One has to laugh at the U.S. government's enthusiastic prosecution of people for alleged violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act. And it certainly parsed the commas and "the"s of Gen. Flynn to find a violation of 18 U.S. Sect. 1001 (respecting false statements made to federal officials). This, while Hillary's egregious toilet-based United States Secretary of State email server is – so far – ignored. Trump makes much of the allegedly improved "unemployment" numbers but won't dare emphasize for Americans that every legal and illegal immigrant inside our borders has taken a job from an American. 90M+ of whom are in fact un-bleeping-employed not "out of the job market."

We have massive debt and massive, pointless military adventures ongoing around the world but, no, the Department of Justice is really energized about supposed FARA violations and false statements. Some fret over the Fed's distortions of monetary policy and creation of asset bubbles yet where is there outrage over the fact that the Constitution does not authorize the creation of a central bank in the first place? Or the second?

Alcoholics Anonymous does the Lord's work in getting alcoholics to face up to the precise way in which they are out of synch with their family, friends, employers, and themselves. Yet there seems to be no mechanism in public life to jerk the reins on the psychopaths, fools, and grifters who constitute our political class for the most part. Certainly voters have no desire or stomach for such necessary chastisements.

As a result we have the Lagardes of this life essentially dispensing advice to 400-lb. guys looking to improve their marital prospects that they should buy some new ties without gravy stains.

This is turning into a five-hanky movie.
