KSV5: Week #1

Hello All,

Karl Schmidt Verlag's five year anniversary fete begins now and will end on December 31st. Every week, five new releases, at our original 2008 price of €7 per album. With one proviso: buy one to four discs, you pay the full (reduced) tariff. Buy FIVE, you get the lot for €25. Only if you buy quintuplets. We're sick fucks, appreciative of our illness. More below the pic.

This week: the final compendium from last winter's Smith Jaspers Stencil trek, Torun (KSV 286), and (KSV 304) Academia Riding Rust - The Danger of Paralysis; (KSV 305) Merkwürdig Riechen - Cantilever Joinery; (KSV 306) Small Thuringian Mother - Production Sample; (KSV 307) Disaggregation - Dwarf Argument.

Need? tlasila [at] gmail [dot] com.

Merci,

TS/KSV

KSV5!

Good morning, many of Earth's people! It's now October 21, 2013. Today, Karl Schmidt Verlag celebrates its FIFTH YEAR ANNIVERSARY. Five years of convulsing staid avant-garde (etc.) norms. Five years of turning dull CDRs into black box recorders documenting our collective disgust, shared compulsions, and aberrant delights. Five years without pandering to anyone (save Deutsche Post and our printer). Needless to say, thank you, esteemed freaks, for your support.

The Behemoth...

Hi Friends,

Andrew Chadwick says it best:
"Earlier this year To Live and Shave in L.A. released The Grief That Shrieked to Multiply, a collection of 72 remixes by a wide variety of participants (myself included) spread across three CDs and an 80-minute bonus download (basically another CD's worth). The remixes were further remixed when TLASILA founder Tom Smith mixed each disc of material into one long, seamless track. The result was four complex and difficult beasts, Voltroned together to make a veritable behemoth requiring purposeful and thoughtful digestion. It was easy to lose track of whose remix you were listening to as there were no time notes provided. The sum is an immense obelisk. Today, though, Tom has finished uploading the separate tracks for easier, bite-sized digestion and instant recognition so check out the answer key as a set on Soundcloud."
Here. The set will only be available through November, so grab it while ye may. Or, feel free to explore it leisurely, or ignore the mammoth fucker altogether.
Best,
Tom
