Gnar Tapes update from the road

Hey all

We are on tour with The Memories. Our road crew is me (Rikky), Funkle, Kyle "Cinnamon Bear" "Fuzz Puddle" Handley, Izak "Skinny Jesus" "Totally You" "Izzy Slice" Arida, and Ol' Gary Goddard of King Tuff and Personal & The Pizzas. We have been on tour since the 15th of May.

OK so with that being said: WE ARE SUPER DOOPER SORRY FOR ALL MAIL ORDER DELAYS

We have been on tour all year.
It's been super fun but also a lot of work. I've been trying to do my best to get to emails but all I got is an iPhone and it's not as easy as my computer which is sitting in Funkle's brother's place in La Crescenta. I'll get a laptop eventually probably but we had to fix the van transmission a couple weeks ago so I was like fuck guess that'll have to wait. Also my iPhone screen cracked at Skinny Dennis in Brooklyn a week or so ago. But it's still cool.

As an apology and a gift to you all from your patience and patronage,
I promise that we will release a sweet new special edition digital Gnar compilation as soon as I can get to a computer.

We have some new tapes in the shop but I haven't had a chance to upload previews to soundcloud and shit and I've had shows most nights. But the tapes rule and you should just dive in if you're ready. We have the incredible Zach Phillips of Blanche Blanche Blanche and OSR Tape. Formerly a resident of the Vermont magic town of Brattleboro and now residing in Brooklyn, this impressive new album is hot on the heels of his recent "Recorded In Heaven" cassette on Lillerne Tapes of Chicago. Speaking of Chicago, we have been itching to release something, anything by juke/work freeks Sich Mang ever since we heard their tape on Priority Male a few years back. We finally got the chance and the end result is a mouth watering monster mix sure to help quench any hot summer thirst. Speaking of hot, LA duo Spaceships also have their new tape on Gnar Tapes, and let me tell you, they've been waiting patiently as we have scrambled to keep up with everything. The tape is a pop perfect blend of fuzzy stoner rock and dirty psych. Reminds us a little of our beloved (RIP) The Whines of Portland who were just the best. So that's a good thing.
