The Sisters of Mercy - Leeds University, Leeds, UK - 16.03.1985 - 2 Versions (Flac)

Two versions of the same concert, one from the bootleg CD and the other from a complete tape.

Bootleg CD Version:

lineage: audience recording of unknown generation -> Tune In... Turn Off... Burn Out bootleg CD (1991 Classics Limited CL 004) -> secure EAC rip (log included) -> wav-files upsampled to 32bit in Adobe Audition -> clean-up (phase correction / normalisation / speed-adjustment in line with copy from master tape) -> dither to 16bit -> new tracksplits in CD Wave Editor -> FLAC

01. First And Last And Always
02. Body And Soul
03. Alice
04. Body Electric
05. Nine While Nine
06. Knockin' On Heaven's Door
07. Ghostrider / Louie Louie

Tape Version:

The full John Kend bootleg!

The great "Tune In... Turn Off... Burn Out..." bootleg apparently used John's tape as the underlying source. However this is the full gig.

Sound quality is very good. No Lineage.

Show #1/5

These 5 shows are from my master recordings, I'm sharing all 5 shows as 16bit/44100Hz and 24bit/96000Hz, straight from SDHC card to laptop hard drive, haven't done much to the raw master files except amplified volume as when recording I had gain set low enough to make sure it didn't clip/distort, tracked and downsampled to 16/44100, that's about it, haven't EQ'd or anything like that, people can do that for themselves to suit their own taste in sound, bit of treble sounds really
good. I know some people like to know recording spot (Stalls Q34 *same as show #4).
All 5 shows are complete and uncut from beginning to end.

Roland R-07 digital recorder (limiter off, low cut frequency off) > Sound Professionals SP-SPSB-8-MKII 9 volt battery box >Sound Professionals SP-CMC-4U (also known as Audio Technica ATU853) cardioid stereo microphones with low sensitivity modification SP-ATMIC-MODIF. Mics on sunglasses arms ontop of head pointed at stage/hanging stacks.

Dead Can Dance - P3 Radio Special, Sweden - xx.xx.2000 (Flac)

Tape rip by trekytt

Very extensive interview with Brendan Perry covering Dead Can Dance's entire career until 2000,
including lots of musical clips from the bands catalogue and a couple of influences.

2 FLAC-files+photo of my master tape (Maxell Audio Tape II - 100 Minutes)

I believe that this has not been shared elsewhere before.

Great long interviews about the whole history of the band. Should be great for all DCD-fanatics.

Wall of Voodoo - Andy Prieboy Era Demos - 1984-1987 (Flac)

As requested some more Andy Prieboy era Wall of Voodoo. This demos sound very good.

Original info File:

Andy Prieboy-era demos
1984/1985 "Seven Days in Sammystown" demos
1986/1987 "Happy Planet" demos

source for all: studio recordings to soundboard > ? > CDs received in trade > extracted using iTunes > Cool Edit
to increase volume on selected tracks and to reduce blank space between tracks > FLAC > you!

confirmed lossless using Audacity
Sound quality: A / A-
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Track list:

1984/1985 "Seven Days in Sammystown" demos

1. Museums (demo - Marc Moreland vocal)
2. Deep in the Jungle (demo)
3. Bonnie O'Callon (demo)
4. In My Night (demo)
5. Far Side of Crazy (demo)
6. Frantanize (demo)
7. The Missionary (demo - Marc Moreland vocal)
8. Dance You Fuckers (demo)
9. Blue Light (demo)
10. Sammystown Instrumental (demo)
11. Faith (demo)

1986/1987 "Happy Planet" demos

12. Country of Man (demo)
13. Wrong Way to Hollywood (demo)
14. Do It Again (demo)
15. The Grass is Greener (demo)
16. When the Lights Go Out (demo)
17. Empty Room (demo)
18. Chains of Luck (demo)
19. Elvis Bought Dora a Cadillac (demo)
20. Jackel (demo)
21. Joanne (demo)
22. Hollywood the Second Time (demo)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

These are two sets of Andy Prieboy-era Wall of Voodoo demos, one set for each of their two studio albums.

The first group probably shouldn't be considered demos for "Seven Days in Sammystown", because aside from "Museums" and "Far Side of Crazy" none of these songs made it onto the album.  A different version of "Deep in the Jungle" was released on the "Weird Science" soundtrack, and a version of "Dance You Fuckers" was later used as a b-side, but the remainder of the "Sammystown" demos remain unreleased.

The second set of demos closely approximates the actual "Happy Planet" album, with the exception of "Jackel" which remains unreleased and "Wrong Way to Hollywood" which was used as a b-side.

aah, im so use to using my Mini Disc Recorder i still havent got my head around these digital recorder things and am still experimenting.
I decided to use the ''automatic recording level'' cause it always worked with MD so well for me.
Not the case with these things! my 3rd recording in with using it and its pretty blown out. id say more for collectors only in this case :/ some songs are bad, some are tolerable maybe even kinda good. at least i know what def NOT to do again esp when im really close to the stage. oh well. i figured id share it anyway.
Turn your volume down on this one.

share freely, never sell or try to make money on youtube with bootlegs! thats the new f'n problem if you ask me.
