Gates of Vienna News Feed 9/2/2019

Hurricane Dorian has virtually stalled over the Bahamas as a Category 5 (or 4) storm, but is expected to resume movement overnight and turn to the northeast as it passes offshore of the southern Atlantic coast. Nine counties in eastern Florida have ordered mandatory evacuations.

In other news, if Parliament votes against a no-deal Brexit before it is prorogued, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is reportedly planning to call a snap election. Former Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair has warned that the Tories are likely to win that election.

Alice Weidel Confronts the Lügenpresse

The AfD (Alternative für Deutschland, Alternative for Germany) scored major victories yesterday in local elections in two German states, Brandenburg and Saxony. The success of the party was not due to its surpassing the two traditionally dominant parties (the CDU and the SPD), but to its increase in voter support at the expense of those parties (see the graph at the top of this post to get an idea of the dynamic in Saxony).

The fact that the AfD could post these sorts of gains in the face of massive state propaganda, the hostility of the Lügenpresse (“lying press”), and being blatantly labeled as “Nazis” is evidence of the political shift that is currently underway in Germany. In a consensus culture such as that of the Bundesrepublik, the results are nothing short of astonishing.

In the following video Alice Weidel, the co-leader of the AfD, discusses these results with a hostile interviewer from German mainstream media. Ms. Weidel acquits herself with aplomb, and retaliates against her interviewer at least as strongly as he tries to sabotage her.

Traitors, Mobs, Demagogues and Useful Idiots

Seneca III sends his latest essay from the royal throne of kings, the sceptred isle, the precious stone set in the silver sea — the soon-to-be-Brexited Britain.

Traitors, Mobs, Demagogues and Useful Idiots

by Seneca III

Since prorogation[1] was first mooted I’ve been trying to recall historic parallels with our current situation. Initially, as always, my mind swung back to the last days of the Roman Imperium — mainly, I think, because of the hallmark debauchery which came from moral and cultural decadence and which in turn gave birth to the same dangerous, unsavoury horde of false prophets, deviants, idiots and violent rabble that descend upon us now.

Both then and now cases of feverish mass derangement bereft of any logical foundations arose amongst peoples; all were aided and abetted by corrupt and power-hungry political demagogues. Both the Imperium and the UK were and are plagued with predatory alien tribes sinking their barbarian fangs into the body politic. In both, febrile mobs violent in act and rhetoric were and are on the streets daily and the descent into chaos accelerated. As Rome sank, so we are doing, but in this IT age much faster than in the past.

Blocking traffic by playing ‘Ring-a-Ring-a-Roses in the middle of the road — I kid you not!

And Caroline Russell, a rather chubby member of the London Assembly representing the left-liberal Green Party, decided to give the Police a mouthful when politely asked to move along.

And was promptly arrested.

But with this knowledge of how things happen, how civilisations collapse, we do not need to follow Rome’s course into oblivion. We, the original indigenous masses, must regain our sovereignty, our right to determine our own future, to retake our lands for ourselves and ourselves only, to govern according to our ways. And we must ensure that the proto-tyrants of the Left and the EU Marxist-Globalist Theocracy together with their seventh-century foot soldiers never succeed in ethnically cleansing and subjugating us.

As it was at Waterloo and the Battle of Britain, this battle is ours to win or lose. With 59 days left going down to the wire it will be a damn close-run thing, so from those times past I offer two quotations.

On the night before Waterloo the Duke of Wellington and one of his aides rode through the lines of his soldiery who, to a man, were drawn from the commonalty and often referred to as the dregs of society or the criminal scum of Britain. They were eating, drinking and brawling around their campfires, apparently without a care in the world. Wellington is reputed to have turned to his aide and said, “I don’t know what effect these men will have on the enemy, but by God, they terrify me.”

A hundred and twenty-five years later after the Battle of Britain Churchill addressed a weary, bomb-damaged, wounded nation with these words:

Sheepdogs Driving the Bus

For the context of this essay by Dymphna, cast your mind back fourteen years to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which hit new Orleans during the last week of August, 2005.

Note: The domain where Bill Whittle’s “Tribes” essay was originally posted is no longer extant, so the link has been replaced with one to a mirror of the original.

Sheepdogs Driving the Bus

by Dymphna
Originally published on September 6, 2005

The blogosphere is reverberating with the drums echoing from Bill Whittle’s fine essay about the divisions of people into tribes. What follows is not exactly a summary; it’s closer to a synthesis of his ideas written for those of us with the attention span of your average Cub Scout. That being said (“that” meaning you should go read the real thing here), let’s look at Mr. Whittle’s fine images, beginning with the Pink People.

Whittle’s PPs are typified by Hollywood types, though Pink is not confined just to Hollywood — it’s simply that there are more Pink People per square inch in Hollywood and its environs than there are anywhere else, except perhaps in Washington, D.C., a place for which Pink People also have an affinity…

When you Think Pink, consider Sean Penn in his rescue boat — a four-person “rescue” boat which Mr. Penn fills with four people, one of whom is his personal photographer. A boat in which the plug had not been fastened so that there are many hilarious (or hideous, depending on your sensibilities) pictures of Mr. Penn bailing the boat with a red plastic cup. Mr. Penn, Pink Person extraordinaire, was not out to rescue anyone. This was merely his trip to Iran translated to American. He was in New Orleans to appear to be rescuing someone. No doubt he left money there also, to show he was acting in good faith (since he does not act particularly well, acting in good faith may be all he has left in his small bag of tricks). Mr. Penn may even have left some of his good-faith money with the mayor, who is definitely a Pink Person — a Pink Person appearing as a mayor. This pink-to-pink transfer allows all the Pinks to feel good, and to a Pink, feeling good is the summum bonum.

Pink people wear rose-colored glasses. They prepare for the future by grabbing as much material wealth as possible and then looking down on others, whose actions in life may originate from different motivations. Pink people do well until they are called upon to act decisively for others in situations where they themselves may be at risk. This situation does not cause a change in color. They simply scream in place until a grey person eats them or rescues them.

The grey people? Here is where I synthesize Mr. Whittle’s comments. He describes this grey as the color of concrete. Where Pink People are soft, Grey People are hard, like the graphite in mechanical pencils. They are that way on purpose because they act purposefully, wherever they are.

Some of the Grey Guys are Good Guys and some aren’t. The first group of GGs are the wolves, either those who are loners or those who run in packs. Some of the Grey Guys appear to be Good until push comes to shove and then they turn their coats and what you thought was a sheepdog, herding the rest of us, becomes a wolf, eating the rest of us. The sad misfortune of the Sheepdogs-turned-wolves in New Orleans — the police officers ‘captured’ on videotape breaking open display cases and looting stores — is that they cannot turn their coats back again. Once exposed, the wolf skin sticks tighter than mendacity does to Michael Moore. None of them may go home again because they helped demolish the place where they live and move and have their being. As the farmer says, not even an animal defecates where it eats. But those people did, ergo, they slipped below the level of animal to some subroutine in the reptilian brain we all possess.

The Dead Letter Office

The thank-you notes for last month’s fundraiser have all been written, and only two of them bounced. One was for a first-time donor in California (it’s amazing how many gifts we’ve gotten from the Left Coast over the years, considering the condition of the state).

The second one was from a recidivist in Alberta. I don’t know what went wrong with that one — I’ve written to him successfully a number of times in the past.

If either of those descriptions fits you, and you haven’t received an acknowledgement, that may be why. And if I missed anyone else (which is possible; I had a lot of notes to write), please let me know.

And then there’s the mystery snail-mail donor in Illinois — you know who you are, but I sure don’t!

New Developments in the Court Case Against Geert Wilders

Our Dutch correspondent H. Numan sends the latest on the show trial of Geert Wilders.

New developments in the court case against Geert Wilders

by H. Numan

In a few days, on the 24th of September, we’ll see if The Netherlands is a banana monarchy or a constitutional monarchy. Why? Because the court then has to issue a verdict about new developments in the case against Geert Wilders. If the country considers itself a true democratic state ruled by law, the court has no other option than to dismiss the case. However, I’m almost certain the court won’t do that. Too much has been invested in the destruction of Geert Wilders and his party, the PVV.

We have seen in the past that the rule of law actually no longer exists in The Netherlands. Let’s take a look at this case, for people who are new to it.

After the municipal elections in March 2014 Geert attended a party in The Hague. He asked his electorate if the wanted more or fewer [criminal] Moroccans in the country. The crowd cheered “minder, minder, minder (fewer, fewer, fewer)!” “Okay”, Wilder said, “we’re going to work on that.”

The progressive part of the country was in uproar. They did everything legally and illegally possible to get him indicted. Illegally, you may ask. Yes. In many cities police stations were open longer than usual, and supplied pre-printed complaint forms. You could mark one or all choices on the multiple choice form why you were offended by Geert Wilders. Just cross what you liked. Signing was not a problem. A thumb mark would do nicely, in case you happen to be illiterate or had a phobia of pork, alcohol and writing. There were many Moroccan volunteers present on those police stations to assist ‘grievously hurt’ people to fill in the form correctly.

The court was, like the first Wilders trial, a kangaroo court with the verdict ready before the trial even began. A complete circus. I have never ever heard about pre-printed complaint forms readily available for the public anywhere. Possibly the North Korean or mainland Chinese justice departments might look into that; it’s very helpful in political trials.

Any idea about the logistics involved? The coordination necessary? We’re not talking about one progressive commissioner who dragooned his unwilling officers to do his bidding. It was nationwide. Thousands of pre-printed forms had to be printed and distributed to most police stations. Those stations had extended opening hours, to accommodate the complainants. That means a lot of officers were doing overtime; those volunteers had to be found and fed — who’s paying for that entire operation? The taxpayer, of course!

This is entirely my opinion, of course. As nobody, not even the defense team, filed complaints with the court about this haphazard filing of legal complaints, I probably am not correct in seeing this as illegal. Though it really seems that way, at least to me.

After a lengthy trial Wilders was convicted, but not as most progressives had hoped for. He wasn’t fined €5,000. Had he been sentenced to jail, he would have been ejected from parliament. The prosecutor tried that, but the court didn’t go along with it. The court judged him guilty, but without penalty. Both Wilders and the prosecutor appealed.

The court wasn’t exactly happy with Wilders spilling the beans. He first tried to object to judge Elianne van Rens, but that was rejected. Mr. (Dutch title for lawyers, she actually is a woman) Elianne is member of D66, a party which considers itself the arch-enemy of Wilders. She said in an TV interview before the trial began that in her opinion Wilders should be convicted. This was not enough to have her removed. I wonder what else she could have done? Knotting nooses during the trial? Grinning at Wilders while slicing with her finger across her throat? The court expressed in her verdict its displeasure of Wilders calling it a kangaroo court and saying that the court had the verdict ready even before the trial began.

But there is more…

Another day, another mass shooting. This one was in the cities of Midland and Odessa in Texas. A man was stopped by police at a traffic check, and began shooting at the cops and innocent bystanders. He hijacked a mail truck, shot some more people, and was eventually killed by police. At least 24 people were shot, and five are dead.

In other news, Hurricane Dorian has slowed down, and the latest projections indicate that it may never actually come ashore in Florida.

Santiago Abascal: “You have been elected to represent the sovereignty of Spain”

Santiago Abascal is the leader of the anti-immigration Vox Party in Spain. In the two videos below from the Spanish parliament, Mr. Abascal speaks about the monumental hoax known as the Mediterranean Migration Crisis, and points out that the illegal immigrants are not at all refugees, and according to international law should never have been brought to Spain or Italy.

Knife Jihad in Villeurbanne

A knife-wielding mujahid went on a rampage today in Villeurbanne, a suburb of the French city of Lyon. At least one person was killed, and a number of others were wounded. Concerning the assailant’s motive, media reports on the incident give no indication of any Islamic component, mentioning only that the fellow was evidently mentally disturbed.

The two videos below show two very different views of what happened in Villeurbanne. Many thanks to Ava Lon for the translations, and to Vlad Tepes for the subtitling.

The first video is a news report from the mainstream media in France. There is no indication of motive, cultural enrichment, or jihad:

In the second video, the situation becomes clearer: the mujahid is checking each victim to make sure he or she is not a Muslim. In this case, he ascertains that his interlocutor is a Muslim: not only does he leave the fellow unmolested, but the two men exchange high-fives:

African Culture-Enrichers Break Through the Border Fence at Ceuta

Ceuta is one of two Spanish enclaves (the other being Melilla) on the coast of North Africa, bordering on Morocco. Migrants from further south in Africa are particularly drawn to these enclaves, since they offer a land border with the EU, and obviate the dangerous sea journey across the Mediterranean. A culture-enricher who successfully breaches the border at Ceuta or Melilla gains access to the Schengen Zone, and can thereby hope to make his way to the Promised Land in Germany or Sweden.

A large group of Africans managed to get through the border fence in Ceuta yesterday. Many thanks to FouseSquawk for translating this news report, and to Vlad Tepes for the subtitling:

Civil War Comes to Neukölln

When the imminence of civil war in Europe is discussed, it’s important to remember that the coming conflict may involve enricher-on-enricher violence, and not just natives vs. immigrants or nationalists vs. antifas.

Many thanks to MissPiggy for translating this report from Philosophia Perennis:

“Family dispute”: Civil war-like scenes in Berlin-Neukölln

by David Berger

Anyone who has seen the video recordings that have been spreading through the social networks since yesterday cannot help but think spontaneously of “civil war”. In Berlin-Neukölln, known for its no-go areas and Arab clans, about 50 people, mostly Syrians and Lebanese according to unconfirmed information, fought in a brutal mass brawl with machetes and knives in the street.

The police report says: “Yesterday afternoon there was a dispute between two groups in Neukölln. Shortly before 4 p.m., witnesses summoned the police to Weserstraße, because there had been a brawl.”

Mass brawl among 40 to 50 people

According to the investigation, a car with two men (22 and 36 years old) were on their way to a meeting when they were attacked and the car was damaged. After the attack the two men exited the vehicle. Shortly thereafter, the brawl began, involving 40 to 50 people with mace and traffic signs being used. The two men who had come by car to Weserstraße were also among the persons involved. With the arrival of the police detachments, the situation calmed down.

Knives and machetes used

The 22-year-old suffered head, arm and torso injuries from the fight, and the 36-year-old had head and leg injuries. In addition, a 28-year-old man complained of eye irritation and a 13-year-old boy received a head injury during the brawl. The men and the boy were treated at the local emergency room.

Weserstraße was closed between Fuldastraße and Weichselstraße until about 7:20 P.M. Among other things, knives and a machete were found and confiscated at the scene. The investigation into the exact course of events and the background are ongoing. Criminal charges were filed for a serious breach of the peace, dangerous bodily harm and damage to cars.

“Xenophobia” in Hannover

The German city of Hannover is in Lower Saxony, which is a state in what used to be West Germany, where “xenophobic” sentiments are far less common than in the states of the former DDR. Nevertheless, several hundred citizens from Lower Saxony staged a march against immigration in Hannover last weekend.

The following video reports on the demonstration in Hannover. Many thanks to MissPiggy for the translation, and to Vlad Tepes for the subtitling.

From the notes accompanying the video (also translated by Miss Piggy):

Under the motto “It’s enough!” the supporters of the AfD gathered on Saturday August 24th at 5 p.m. at the Platz der Göttinger Sieben. The police spoke of 300 participants; the organisers said there were around 500 participants. A hijab-wearer attacked demonstrators. Police were present in a large-scale operation. 500 Lower Saxons took to the streets demanding more internal security and declaring “enough is enough” after a series of murders by asylum seekers.

Pay special attention to the interview with a young man about three minutes into the video:
