On Tuesday, 1st of October, a counter-information intervention took place at the municipal radio “Athens 9,84”. The intervention was organised by the open assembly of squats, collectives, immigrants, internationalists, and solidarians with the participation of 30 comrades.
The comrades entered the studio after coming into agreement with the employees, and the intervention lasted half an hour. While on air, the intervention made a speech about the squats, immigrants, and the general oppressive and impoverished conditions that prevail. Next, a recorded message which ridicules the regime of terror they are imposing, was broadcasted. To set the record straight, we have to inform that during the intervention there was no conflict with the employees of the radio station.
Whoever listened to the intervention on air understood what was the mood, and we expect from the employees to weigh in against the fabrications of the Greek Police and the Mayor of Athens. As expected, the intervention was removed from the archive that gets uploaded on the radio’s website, in an attempt to conceal the political content of the intervention and its characteristics.
After the intervention, the comrades left in array towards Kerameikos tube station where they were attacked by police forces that scattered the body of the intervention through force and violence. Afterwards, 8 arrests took place in the nearby area. 7 female and 1 male comrades got apprehended, 2 students amongst them.
One of them got sexually harassed by a cop in the police vehicle. Consequently, the arrested got transferred in the Hellenic Police Attica Headquarters. There was a solidarity gathering until midnight. The riot police attacked the gathering with chemicals, and pushed the comrades back to the Ampelokipi tube station. The gathering continued across the HPAH, regardless. After many hours it was announced that 7 of the apprehended are facing the charges of domestic disturbance, whereas one of the students got released without any charges. The charges were pressed after the administration of the municipal radio, obviously with the orders of mayor Mpakogiannis, sued the comrades. It is important to note that during the solidarity gathering, persons from the establishment media and a parliamentary party were present, with whom neither the intervention nor the solidarity gathering had anything to do with them.
On Wednesday, 2nd of October, at 11am, the arrested went through the District Attorney, building 16, at the Evelpidon courthouse. We called for a solidarity gathering where approximately 30 comrades showed up. 6 of the comrades got a trial for 17/10, whereas the student comrade has a trial for 2020.
Solidarity will win, the censorship attempts towards the oppressed will not be successful, our struggles will destroy state oppression.

“Athens do you hear me? I am sorry to disturb your miserable daily life. I am sorry to steal some of the time you have already sold. I am sorry to make you think whatever you don’t want to confront. DEBRIEFING TEXT OF THE OPEN ASSEMBLY OF SQUATS, COLLECTIVES, INTERNATIONALISTS, MIGRANTS AND SOLIDARIANS
This text is a debrief of the actions of the open assembly from its beginning right after the evacuation of four squats in Exarchia on 26/8 until the demo of 14/9, where four arrests took place.
The evictions of 26/8 were not left unanswered, as hundreds of comrades made a spontaneous demo from Exarchia to Psyrri. The next day, the assembly calls for a solidarity gathering at the courtrooms for the three arrested people of Gare, and, the afternoon, for a solidarity gathering for the detained migrants in Petrou Ralli.
On 29/8 we made a solidarity rally in front of Mpoumpoulinas migrant housing squat, while the next morning at 4am the squat began to be barricaded and solidarians started gathering outside, acting as a bulwark against a possible eviction. On Saturday, August 31st, the assembly supported the march around Exarchia with a bloc of its own. The next action was to break the blockade around the steki of anarchist immigrants with a support rally and hanging a banner. Next, in preparation for the march against state repression on 14/9 at Propylaia, four kinds of posters, calls and texts in five different languages were printed, and then posted and given out in neighborhoods, universities, schools and squats. A rotating hunger strike began this September in Spanish prisons to draw attention to the horrible situation in Spanish prisons, tortures, deaths, the basicly nonexistent medical attention, terrible food, bad communication inside/outside, isolation confinement for rebellious prisoners, etc. etc. There are thousands of denouncements of this situation in the offices of the European Union Tribunals, at least from the last 20 years. No one there cares about this nonexistent human rights in Spanish prisons! So the prisoners, with the support of solidarity groups from outside, try to continue the long tradition of struggles against this fascist prisoner system in Spain. So from last September 1st, a small group of prisoners started this rotative hungerstrike and Toni Chavero, an anarchist comrade, actually encaged in the prison of Estremera (Madrid) wrote this letter:

On Friday, September 27th [2019], the Nancy-Maxeville prison was attacked to denounce the repression of the nuclear State.
In the pre-evening of the demo against the nuclear waste-dump – project CIGEO « Vent de Bure » at Nancy – we attacked (symbolically) the prison of Nancy-Maxeville, to send greetings to our comrades who are imprisoned and those who are charged by repression. Also to set a sign for a society without prisons in general.
We marked the walls with the paint, smash the windows of some administration buildings, launch smoke bombs and flares in the yard of the prison and greet the prisoners with pyrotechnics in the surrounding area. Long time civilian prisoner Natalia Pshenkina takes on struggle against the Swedish prison authorities with hungerstrike.
Natalia was sentenced for murder in 2005 and got in contact with political comrades in prison in 2011. She then contacted the current prisoner solidarity group Fånggruppen Syd – Prisoners group of southern sweden, for help with legal assistance. Natalias case has since been worked on as a civilan non-political side case on a personal level by
individuals within the former group. Since 2018 Natalias case has more and more taken the form of organizing and fighting by juridical means for better conditions in the Swedish prison system. Natalia took this fight at the prison where she was earlier placed, KVA Ystad, in southern most of todays Sweden. The condition at KVA-Ystad has been growing worse for a long time by reasons such as over crowding and ending of all activities for prisoners due to severe lack of funding. Italy: “Prometeo” repressive operation – Update on Natascia and a few words on the reasons given to confirm her precautionary custody in prison (September 2019)
“Trials are set up for anarchists for what anarchists are, enemies of the State”.
A little more than one week ago, a public ordinance of the Milan tribunal was published, which outlined the reasons given during the review that confirmed her precautionary custody while she is awaiting trial. This previously happened with Robert and Beppe, who were also arrested on 21 May as part of a repressive operation called “Prometeo”.
A slew of reasons were subdivided into many paragraphs that were titled, “degree of harmfulness of rudimentary ordnances sent”, “the need for precautionary measures”, “evidence of serious indications of guilt” and the “juridical qualification of the offence in the perspective of some constituent elements, including under the profile of the psychological element”. Anarchist Vincenzo Vecchi was arrested on Thursday, August 8, 2019 in France. The arrest was carried out by the French cops and (as reported by the scum media) was made possible by the contribution of the agents of the “Service for the fight against extremism and internal terrorism” and of the Antiterrorism section of the DIGOS of Milan, which through “a close investigative connection” with the French police were able to identify the comrade. Against him two European arrest warrants had been issued by the prosecutors of Milan and Genoa.
Vincenzo had been “on the run” since 2012, following the final sentence of 11 years and six months that was imposed on charges of “devastation and pillage, robbery and carrying of weapons” following Black Bloc actions against the G8 summit that took place in Genoa, Italy in July 2001.
On Friday, 27 September, the Rennes Court of Appeal refused the application for release of the comrade pending extradition hearing. On Friday, September 20, 2019, in the special courtroom of the Korydallos prison, the trial against anarchist comrade Konstantinos Giagztoglou began.
CASE SUMMARY
Dinos was arrested in October 2017 in an anti-terrorist ambush when he left an apartment in central Athens, which he rented with false ID to help a persecuted comrade. He was arrested with an order issued by Special Investigator Eutychis Nikopoulos for the case of intercepted letter-bomb packages which were sent to officials of the European economic and political elite in the spring of that year. Since then he has been detained and accused of participating in a “terrorist organization”, as well as construction and dispatch of explosive devices to officials of financial institutions and rating agencies throughout Europe, as well as an attempted murder for the package that injured Loukas Papadimos, the former prime minister of Greece. The comrade has declared from the first moment of his arrest and in an open letter to the anarchist movement, that renting the apartment was a conscious choice in the context of revolutionary solidarity, but does not accept any of the other accusations. Moving bowed clock-hands walk around the grey metropolises. From grave to grave. From cell to cell. From apathy to apathy. From door to door. Doors also bowed, bent over, condemned to collapse if they don’t see the clock-hands passing by at the right time. And time swallows the clock-hands, like the numbers that they were showing were something unimportant and conventional, like the only important thing was always just to walk around bowed. Some clock-hands broke off, and, for these ones, each pacified day is one more death for one of their aspects.
That’s why they take their bodies all together and mill around the streets that smother them since their childhood. The enemy is there, inside fortresses that ensure the dominant order and normality. One of

New Democracy offices in: Painakos street, St. Eleftherios Petridou Street, Ano Glyfada Athanatou Street, Sunny street Marinou Antipa, Brahami street of Aghios Demetriou, Daphne street of Vouliagmeni, Thukididou street.
The bank branches: National road in Chalandri Zenonos street, National in Byron Formionos street, National road to Alimos Thoukididou street, National road in Glyfada Vouliagmeni street, Piraeus Corfu Street in Kypseli.
As long as the new power-holders, their media parrots, the cop-unionists smell the tale of “exile of Exarcheia” and “lawlessness,” we perceive only a symbolism of the pursuit of universal doctrine and law.
More cops, fewer rights, fewer voices calling for and shouting, disappearing anything and anyone that spoils the showcase of tourism, “investment,” the neoliberal vision of the free movement of goods. And what Exarcheia symbolizes, the uprisings in the city over the last 11 years (though we could go back further) are no good for businesses, they don’t fit into the Airbnb metropolis they are seeking.
But as for them, Exarcheia (and their police occupation) express a symbolism of “fighting lawlessness,” so too for us, they have the function of a symbolism of moments started for our attempts to invade the sky.
Although (most of) us live elsewhere, we have our political roots. In our neighborhoods, in our workplaces, in our schools, in the moving structures we have set up in our living spaces.
The “battle of the exiles” is not for us a “rebellious play ground” but part of a more comprehensive struggle that fights with self-organized unions, anti-fascist neighborhoods, local struggles…
In this symbolism of Exarcheia is all that the power wants to suppress.
And all that we want to disperse.
Occupations and living structures are spaces of struggle and freedom.
Today morning 27 Sept, around 02:30 the neighbourhood of Exarchia was listening to the voice of 5 bullets, which came from the street of Char. Trikoupi to attack the military check point of MAT [Riot unit] at this street. The results of the armed attack are not clear yet, but we suppose that there were not killed or injured cops.
This is a warning for those who militarized and occupied our neighborhood, since an army is in our neighborhood, so the answer also should be in an armed way; what we are doing is return the violence that already we have received. The real terrorists are states, not us as a social resistance movement.
Unfortunately, a part of our movement is bringing the resistance to a peaceful way of struggle, which is unacceptable, because in our opinion a pacifist resistance movement is a dead resistance movement, so we think the violence and especially armed violence is necessary against all these attacks that we have received from the state.
