The debit card for my account automatic payments expired and now I got a new debit card. The issue is I cannot update my automatic payments with my new debit card. It tells me me, “Address Verification failed. Please double check your card information.”

I believe this may be due to the fact that my card is in the US but my zip code is an APO address. Is there a way I can still update my automatic payments with this card or with my PayPal?

For the past few months I wait until my last card gets rejected and then manually pay with my PayPal. However, I don’t see a place on the website to put it as automatic payment with PayPal.

Currently there's just a single notification that says for example "2 new emails" and all you can see is the subject from each. And on Android Wear all you can see is "2 unread emails" and not even the subjects, so I have to pull out my phone to check. (First world problems I know but it defeats the purpose of a smart watch lol)

Anyways with Gmail for example, each message has its own notification that you can expand to read some of the actual body. They're all grouped together so you initially get a single notification that you can pull down into separate ones, then further pull those down to get more details. And on my watch or in the notification I can read the content, archive, delete, reply, all that stuff.

I am surprised that Protonmail still does not allow me to make the (required) signup donation in Bitcoin. This is an obvious and simple spam prevention option that does not leak privacy all over the place.

Instead, I need to hand over my personal information using some of the worst privacy abusing services in the world -- credit card companies and their affiliates, government overlords, etc. This has been an issue for many years with Protonmail and it seems they have no intention to address this glaring issue that directly violates their claims regarding user privacy.

Account creation: It is not necessary to provide personal information in order to create an account, but you may provide an external email address for notification or password recovery purposes. Should you choose to provide it, we do associate another email address with your account (for password recovery, or notifications). The legal basis for processing is consent and you are free to remove that data in the account panel of your ProtonMail account.

Apparently there used to be a way to donate with bitcoin, but this is not shown to users who are signing up and is now listed as "outdated". Hard to understand how it can be outdated with no alternative.

Protonmail: please help us to understand why you force us to provide personal information when signing up?

Thanks.

Edit: should have mentioned that I was using Tor. Seems this makes all the difference.

I use the local bridge SMTP server for emails sent from my external domain address. I have this domain and address registered in my PM account and have been using this setup happily up until 1.1.6. But with 1.2.0, when i try to use the bridge's SMTP server with From set to my non-pm (but registered) address i get this error (for instance with Thunderbird in the image attached, but i know it's not Thunderbird's fault because if i use Gnu and postfix to rely the email to the bridge it reports the same error).

I am currently paying monthly for my Premium subscription to ProtonMail, how can I change it to annually or more?
