Whatever happened to that company where the CEO took a pay cut and set a $70k minimum wage for his company, about 4 years ago? The staff doubled, their business tripled, and people bought more houses and had more babies.

This was incredible generosity on the part of Iran. They need help now. Will the US lift the sanctions, which make it very difficult for Iran’s medical services to operate under normal conditions, for an emergency? (Sanctions are a form of warfare against civilians; this is why)

Treat your employees like they are human beings. Put and end to lean staffing. Never turn down or cancel a vacation request. Stop booking a quarter at a time, not everyone plans 4+ months out. Don't limit training budget to half a SANS course. Salary should not be overtime exempt

Worried about coronavirus in LA? Me too. Now imagine you live on the street with 5,000 other people in 50 square blocks, and you all share about ten bathrooms. Or in a park where bathrooms are locked for twelve hours a day. That’s the reality we’ve created for so many here.

I didn’t read Marx at all in uni; working in a pub after graduation I realised that pulling just two pints brought in more than I got paid in an hour and I was like “Someone explain this to me”

A few thoughts about Bernie floating the idea in March 2016 of opposing Clinton's delegate lead at the convention through a super delegate pitch. First, as Warren recognized, Bernie was facing a profoundly undemocratic rigged process. She called it out here:

Kinda funny how a bunch of Sinophobes were hypercritical of Chinese response to but they'll be silent when our own government fake newses it away to preserve the Dow.

People are going to want to talk about COVID-19. Remind them that paid sick leave and free healthcare at point of service are both on the table this election. “How are you going to pay for it?” isn’t a real question. Economic impacts are already starting. We can’t afford not to

Attacking M4A was stupid enough when it was simply polling well, but a virus that puts 20% of the people who get it into the hospital is about to make it even more self-evidently necessary than ever. Would have been nice to have already had it
