The Day We Walked On The Moon

On July 20, 2019, 68 Affiliates across the nation will screen the Smithsonian Channel documentary The Day We Walked On The Moon. An opportunity exclusively offered to Smithsonian Affiliates, the program coincides with nationwide events celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo program.

“Our affiliation with the Smithsonian makes possible unique and exciting opportunities for our visitors to experience the Smithsonian’s collections alongside the Springfield Museums’ collections. Those treasures—in addition to inspiring objects and art—include learning opportunities facilitated by the remarkable curators and artists of the Smithsonian. This partnership has elevated our Museums and enhanced our visitors’ lives. We are grateful.”

Whether through our two, highly successful training programs for museum professionals—co-developed with the Smithsonian—or through participation in the Affiliations National Conference, our partnership helps us learn new trends, advance our research, exchange ideas, and bring this knowledge to our communities.”
