    Fossil fuel companies also ship coal ash built up in PR to often poor communities in the continental US. In PR, renewables are cheaper than fossil fuels. There is no reason we shouldn’t be pursuing a just transition there outside of corrupt lobbying. ⬇️⬇️

    This will affect the huge deposit already in Peñuelas, Puerto Rico. Its toxic ashes have already polluted the town's water supply.

    This is huge problem for many communities, from PR to WV. “Coal waste” is a nice word for ash. It piles up in mountainlike heaps + poisons water. Some candidates last night said addressing climate injustice is a “distraction.” But why should clean water be only for the rich?💧

    Equifax has botched its response to the data breach at every step. We can't count on to do the right thing. We need to pass laws that will actually hold them accountable—and I’ve got a bill to do just that.

    Equifax just removed the $125 claim payout option after millions submitted claims. Now it's offering credit monitoring. Don't worry, Equifax says, this is really a "much better value."

    Why do all these unions and labor orgs support ? because if we take healthcare off the bargaining table, we can win higher wages, better pensions, health and safety programs for our workers. And also because we recognize that health care is a HUMAN RIGHT.

    The Dem House is a different approach. I’d say the House is arguably & currently structured to be the most conservative of the 3 due to GOP gerrymandering. Being inspirational & ambitious is good strategy! Being visionary is a strength, not a liability, for statewide turnout.

    The point is to stem runaway income inequality, where wealth begins to automatically compound at obscene rates for the extremely rich w/o lifting a finger - often at the cost of low wages. This is a huge driving factor in income & wealth inequality & few want to talk about it.
