Meredith Stern obtained a BFA in Ceramics at Tulane University in New Orleans. She has developed a multifaceted practice that includes printmaking, ‘zine publishing, drumming, collage, and ceramic arts. Meredith has collaborated on several large scale art installations at Space 1026 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; UWM Union Art Gallery at The University of Wisconsin at Madison; The Miller Gallery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as part of the Pittsburgh Biennial; and in Ljubliana, Slovenia as part of the 29th Graphic Arts Biennial. Her work is in the permanent collections at the Library of Congress, The RISD Museum, the Book Arts Collection at the New York MOMA, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts. In 2012 she curated a portfolio on gender justice titled "This is an Emergency!" She has given presentations about the project at universities, community centers, and in gender studies classes around North America. In 2015 she created 14 large scale linoleum block portraits of several of her colleagues as a series titled "Craft in Time." In 2017 she created a series of 32 prints on the 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
