It's nice to welcome people. Here, we greet every new person in a channel called , with a short bio that generates reacji, replies, and invites to common-interest social channels. It's nice. Have a workplace tradition for welcoming newbies? Great! What is it?

A post from a new member of staff called Arcadio Buendia, Saying "Hello! I'm joining workspace as the 2nd member of the Design Team, all the way from arizona" - there are party reactions, raised hands, waves, cacti, and art palates (because design?). It's a nice, jolly picture of someone feeling very happy and welcomed.

And if you're wondering about the typo in that first tweet, please take it as a reminder that we are all human, even those of us that are brands. And also, a nice reminder that you can press up to edit your last message in Slack!

And if you're one of the many people who do *not* have a holiday coming up, enjoy your Wednesday (or Thursday, if it so is where you are) you're doing great, and please keep this in your back pocket for next time. 🤠

Head out on a little break? Some people might be. Not all, of course… Anyway, just remember: you can let teammates (here, there, or anywhere) know by updating your status in Slack and setting a return date so that your status will be there the whole time you're not.

A custom status message reading "going antiques shopping. Partying like it's 1899", with a set expiration time of 9am on July 8th. It's a tip! A slack tip! It has a hashtag that says so! Hashtags! Yes, we're partying like it's 2012.

Yesterday was very exciting *partly* because many of us got to meet , a patient and delightful human who has, for many years now, answered misdirected tweets with grace and humor. Thank you Matt, for letting us drag you to New York. We were honored to have you there.

Matt Slack, a good human, and two women, all doing selfies. One of the women, right, is Ali Rayl, head of Global Customer Experience and one reason that the tweeting team at Slack are so wonderful.

It’s a milestone day for us, but also a day of thinking about work. About ours, and yours, how grateful we are that you let us be part of your working day, and how we can continue to try and make it better. Soppy? Perhaps! But still true.

Looking for that time you were all talking about bananas and reached an important work decision but want to exclude all the times that people sent tickets and apps sent notifications about bananas? Exclude apps and bots from your search! Then humans will rise to the top. For now.

when searching, you can check the button "Hide apps and bots" to, unsurprisingly, hide apps and bots from your search results. It helps! Bananas!
