Kristen Bell may get a ‘Good Place’ Emmy nomination just in time for her ‘Veronica Mars’ comeback
The Good Place’s” awards profile has risen gradually over the course of its three seasons, and it’s possible Kristen Bell will finally capitalize on that. She’s in a crowded Emmy race for Best Comedy Actress, and if she makes the cut it’ll be the first primetime nomination of her career, just in time for the return of what should have been the first primetime nomination (and win) of her career: “Veronica Mars.”

Bell became a star thanks to her performance in the title role on that short-lived drama, which ran for two seasons on Upn (2004-2006) and then for one more season on CW (2006-2007) after Upn merged with the WB. Veronica was a teenage private eye, mature beyond her years and maintaining a razor-sharp sense of humor despite traumas that would get the better of most people twice her age, including the murder of her

Euphoria Recap: Bruised Necks, Hopeful Hearts and Cold Shoulders

How might Euphoria follow up on last week’s episode, which ended with violence (both real and threatened), cataclysmic disappointment and a sweet kiss that probably won’t end well?

With a little rollerskating, of course.

Did Fear the Walking Dead Just Set Up Its Next Big Death?

Something unprecedented is happening on Fear the Walking Dead this season: through seven episodes, no human has died. Plenty of the already dead brain-eaters have been put down, but no one who still draws breath has lost it, which is a big break from franchise tradition. The first half of Fear

Fear Twd Recap: Goodbye and Amends — Plus, Is [Spoiler] Really a Goner?
Warning: The following contains spoilers for Sunday’s Fear the Walking Dead. If you’ve yet to watch and prefer to be surprised, move away as if a radioactive growler is lumbering toward you.

I think we all felt pretty confident going into Sunday’s Fear the Walking Dead that, despite the fact that “The Little Prince” left several characters in jeopardy, no one was actually going to bite the dust. So color at least me stunned that “Still Standing” appeared to sign a death warrant for not just a character but one of the ones we really care about.

Sweetbitter Season 2 Premiere Recap: You've Come a Long Way, Baby Monster

Sure, Sweetbitter‘s Tess passed her trails and got hired at 22W. And she’s so much more knowledgeable about wine and napkin-folding than she was a month ago! But she’s still got a lot to learn about… pretty much everything else, as the double-episode Season 2 premiere shows us.

The first episode, “The Pork Special,” finds the restaurant’s hungover crew shipped out to New Jersey. “I think I forgot there’s a whole world outside the city,” Tess marvels as they arrive at a farm, though the rest of her co-workers are far less enthusiastic about the early morning field trip.

‘Big Little Lies’ Gives Us What We Want. That Isn’t a Good Thing (Column)
If it’s even possible to feel sorry for the most celebrated actress of our time, then the second season of “Big Little Lies” has made me feel a bit bad for Meryl Streep.

In the season’s early episodes, the actress seems to have intended to continue what she began with Steven Spielberg’s “The Post” in 2017 — to work once again alongside a director willing to push her and to create a character who pulses with real life, one whose actions have the power to surprise us and yet that feel consistent throughout. In much of her 2010s work,

‘Big Little Lies’ Review: ‘The Bad Mother’ Sets Up a Dumbfounding Finale in an Exasperating Episode 6

‘Big Little Lies’ Review: ‘The Bad Mother’ Sets Up a Dumbfounding Finale in an Exasperating Episode 6
[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Big Little Lies” Season 2, Episode 6, “The Bad Mother.”]

So, it all comes down to… this? A courtroom inquisition with Nicole Kidman’s abused wife acting as her own attorney against Meryl Streep’s aggrieved, possibly vengeful grandma; one parent questioning the other for the title of “The Good Mother,” aka the legal guardianship of two young boys? Even if we don’t bring in the behind-the-scenes knowledge of how this season came about, Episode 6, “The Bad Mother,” feels like David E. Kelley throwing his hands up in the air and screaming, “Fuck it! Let’s just make it about the law!”

After all, Kelley, a former attorney, has been writing about lawyers and courtrooms and legalese for more than three decades. The “L.A. Law,” “Ally McBeal,” “Boston Legal,” “Harry’s Law,” and “Goliath” creator has made it his “Practice” to place as many dramatic confrontations as possible between a pacing attorney and a cowering witness.

Veronica Mars: Here's Why Hulu Would Not Allow Kristen Bell to Say That Word

Veronica Mars quite literally has no f-cks to give — and now we know why.

As TVLine previously reported, Hulu forbid Kristen Bell’s subversive title character(or anyone else in the Mars universe) from dropping an F-bomb during the eight-episode revival, which premieres July 26. Given the streaming world’s looser standards, and the likelihood that a character such as Veronica would use such language, the mandate was perplexing to say the least.

Friends: Pottery Barn to Release New Collection That Includes Rachel's Apothecary Table (Sorry, Phoebe!)

Pottery Barn’s new furniture line may not be inspired by the Days of Yore, but it is inspired by the days of Must-See TV.

In the lead-up to Friends‘ 25th anniversary this fall, the home-furnishing store is set to release a limited-edition line inspired by the NBC sitcom, People reports. The collection will consist of tabletop items (including a Central Perk mug), accessories (including a throw pillow with the Friends logo) and, yes, Rachel’s apothecary table — a replica of the one that she once convinced Phoebe was purchased at a flea market for just “one and 50 dollars.”
