Merruwyn - Live at the Grosvenor (Rare 1974 UK Folk LP on Fanfare)

In my opinion "Where the Lightning Ends" is one of the best Acid Folk tracks I have ever heard.
I would put it alongside "The garden of Jane Delawney" by Trees and "Silver Song" by Mellow Candle. Magical !

Merruwyn was a folk duo from Kent - Ann Galvin and Theresa O' Brien.

The record looks nice, but there is a small claw (or a small defect of pressing) invisible to the naked eye in the middle of the third track A-side. And this claw (or this defect) causes a small jump of the needle that, despite all my efforts (I cleaned the disc several times), I can not eliminate.

Really an incredible album that still remains unknown even among collectors' circles.
Extremely small pressing from 1975.

A little masterpiece in my opinion and really a grower !

Dan Casamajor - My Family (Sealed copy of this 1969 US Private Folk masterpiece)

Very cool period piece that beautifully captures the era of college students just starting to look inward, grow their hair and get into "reefer". Very talented guy doing folk and folk-rock, some tracks acoustic and some with sparse electric backing. Would have been right at home on Vanguard and really does deliver the goods. A true masterpiece in my opinion !

John J. Francis - Rock 'n' Roll Refugee (1972 Australian Folk Psych Blues masterpiece on Warner Bros)

1972 saw the release of John's first solo album 'Rock 'n' Roll Refugee', featuring the first triple-gate fold out LP cover, through Warner Brothers. The album was recorded "live" in the studio in two three-hour sessions at Copperfield Studios and was produced by the then A&R head of Pye Records in England, Alan A. Freeman. 'Rock 'n' Roll Refugee' contained many of the songs John was playing live at the time and, although it received very little airplay or publicity, managed to generate sales well into the mid-thousands.

An excellent album from the beginning to the end !
This is an outstanding bluesy psychy proggy folky rock record with a lot of flute !
A true masterpiece in my humble opinion !!!
