Guest Posting Policy
We are open to occasional guest posts from people with whom we have a history of engaged, respectful interaction, either online or (gasp) in the flesh. Adopting a totally new pseudonym just for posting here is not out of the question for those we know and trust.
Regular commenters on this blog generally qualify, as do bloggers at whose digs we leave comments regularly. Crossposts qualify. If you’ve never ever commented here even once, and/or your site doesn’t actually write about related topics, then you probably are not the sort of guest poster we seek.
Just lob us an email if you’ve got a topical post burning to be read, or put your hand up when we ask for volunteer guest bloggers when one of us needs a break. Some of our irregular features such as Friday Hoydens, Whoydensday, Secular Sermons or Book/Cinema/TV/etc reviews might offer some suggestions for posts, also some of our most popular topics such as social justice, disability, reproductive rights, work/family balance, education etc.
The styles and topics of Guest Hoydens may well differ from the resident Hoydens, and that’s pretty much the point. We may not agree with all their opinions, but those invited to post here are in Hoydenspace because they are thoughtful communicators in general and we want our readers to benefit from different perspectives.
