Focus, FOCUS, or foci may refer to:
In science, mathematics or computing:
Generally, an answer is a reply to a question. It can be solution, a retaliation or a response to it.
In law, an answer was originally a solemn assertion in opposition to someone or something, and thus generally any counter-statement or defense, a reply to a question or response, or objection, or a correct solution of a problem.
In the common law, an answer is the first pleading by a defendant, usually filed and served upon the plaintiff within a certain strict time limit after a civil complaint or criminal information or indictment has been served upon the defendant. It may have been preceded by an optional "pre-answer" motion to dismiss or demurrer; if such a motion is unsuccessful, the defendant must file an answer to the complaint or risk an adverse default judgment.
In a criminal case, there is usually an arraignment or some other kind of appearance before the defendant comes to court. The pleading in the criminal case, which is entered on the record in open court, is usually either guilty or not guilty. Generally speaking in private, civil cases there is no plea entered of guilt or innocence. There is only a judgment that grants money damages or some other kind of equitable remedy such as restitution or a permanent injunction. Criminal cases may lead to fines or other punishment, such as imprisonment.
A question is a linguistic expression used to make a request for information, or the request made using such an expression. The information requested should be provided in the form of an answer.
Questions have developed a range of uses that go beyond the simple eliciting of information from another party. Rhetorical questions, for example, are used to make a point, and are not expected to be answered. Many languages have special grammatical forms for questions (for example, in the English sentence "Are you happy?", the inversion of the subject you and the verb are shows it to be a question rather than a statement). However questions can also be asked without using these interrogative grammatical structures – for example one may use an imperative, as in "Tell me your name".
The principal use of questions is to elicit information from the person being addressed, by indicating, more or less precisely, the information which the speaker (or writer) desires. However questions can also be used for a number of other purposes. Questions may be asked for the purpose of testing someone's knowledge, as in a quiz or examination. Raising a question may guide the questioner along an avenue of research (see Socratic method).
Focus 3 or Focus III is the third studio album from the Dutch rock band Focus, released in 1972 on Sire Records. It is the first and only double album released by the band. Focus 3 peaked at number six on the UK Albums Chart. The album spawned one single; "Sylvia" reached number four in the UK and number 33 in the US.
Jan Akkerman (born 24 December 1946) is a Dutch guitarist. He first found international commercial success with the band Focus, which he co-founded with Thijs van Leer. After leaving Focus, Akkerman continued as a solo artist, adding jazz fusion influences. He has also introduced baroque music into his repertoire.
Akkerman was born in Amsterdam, the son of a scrap iron trader. At age five he took guitar lessons and his first single was released in 1960, when he was thirteen years old. He was a member of Johnny and his Cellar Rockers, The Hunters (with whom he scored the 1966 Dutch pop hit "Russian Spy and I") and Brainbox (which also garnered several Dutch hit singles, including a cover of Tim Hardin's "Reason to Believe"). Displaying an incredible technique - it is not a surprise to discover Akkerman won a scholarship to study at the prestigious Amsterdam Music Lyceum for 5 years also developing his composition, arranging and musicianship skills. Akkerman is also a highly skilled Lutenist having been greatly inspired by the english guitarist/lutenist Julian Bream.
Focus 3 is a double-album by progressive rock band Focus, which was released in 1972[3], peaking #6 [4] on the UK charts. It includes "Sylvia", a worldwide hit that reached #4[5] on the UK charts and #89 on the US charts. It also contains "House of the King"[6], a single originally from 1970, which was later included on the CD version of Focus' first album, Focus Plays Focus (In and Out of Focus). "House of the King" was not, as is often believed, re-recorded for Focus III. Thijs van Leer -- keyboards, flute, piccolo, recorder, vocals Jan Akkerman -- electric guitar, acoustic guitar, lute Bert Ruiter -- bass guitar Pierre van der Linden -- drums Mike Vernon their producer - backing vocals on "Round Goes The Gossip" but is uncredited Martin Dresden - bass guitar on "House Of The King", but...

As a continuation to our "New Priest -- New Gospel" question and answer session, this episode of Be Transfigured! focuses on our preparation for Holy Communion. How should we fast? How often should we attend Holy Confession? This episode will outline, based upon the Canonical Tradition of the Holy Orthodox Church, a better understanding about the connection (or lack of connection) between Holy Confession and Fasting as they both relate to Holy Communion.
All the planes and the trains
And the cars and hotel bars
It might aswell be mars
All the highs and the lows
And the "that's just the way it goes"
And you wait and you wait some more
There is no final destination
Like there's no perfect situation
so I'm
Looking for a major stuck hre in a minor key
Is to say one day I'm gonna find her
And that's the way it is
The Devil's in the details
Angel's on my shoulder
Both of them sayin; one day I'm gonna hold her
And that's the way it is
All the good and the bad and the ugly
And the downright sad
Well they all attract me
And you give and you take
And you live with the choice you make
About who you're s'posed to be
And all these questions need an answer
Like where's my happily ever after?
So I'm...
Looking for a major stuck here in a minor key
Is to say one day I'm gonna find her
And that's the way it is
The Devil's in the details
Angel's on my shoulder
Both of them sayin; one day I'm gonna hold her
And that's the way it is
Oh oh oh oh
little things, little things
Lead me to believe
Oh I'm
Looking for a major stuck here in a minor key
Is to say one day I'm gonna find her
And that's the way it is
The Devil's in the details
Angel's on my shoulder
Both of them sayin; one day I'm gonna hold her
